Flicker on docks when video media player starts

When I have od plus on with 2 docks displayed they flicker furiously every time I open a video (GOM player). Is it lack of ram ( I have 1GB) or something else? It dosen't happen with any other apps or folders. I'm not overloaded with software or games. Running in background is only Nortons, IDM,WB7,RC & E-mail. Any assiatance greatly appreciated.

I realize this is an old posting but I came across this issue this evening and had to switch the video rendering to something other then overlay since Windows 7 / Vista does not support overlays anymore.
