Pirate Lore (A Theory)

Soo...we've all heard people saying that the pirates are super powerful and that it does not make sense that a ragtag band of pirates could be stronger than the might of the three factions...so I've come up with a theory.

Remember this mysterious menace that the Vasari were running from? Well, in the years between Entrenchment and Diplomacy, that menace must have come into contact with the pirates somehow. They infested the pirates and that is why they get stronger with each raid. And thus, diplomatic talks have been spurred by the three factions.

However, this is only an initial foreboding of the menace...more is to come...hopefully in Sins 2. :D

What if the pirates are the menace chasing the Vasari? ;) They've just been acting stupid to get the Vasari into a major war, than bam! XD

problem is the current pirates are rogues of TOs, unless we'll see a 'new' pirates consisiting of any non-human crews

or better yet, the pirates were what they were until diplomacy and whatever is chasing the Vasari has taken them over and made them uber

Nice explaination, now IC just has to introduce the evil bastards from outer space to gameplay.

But that might require a campaign... which they can't do with SINS as it is.

This sort of goes along with your theory, but the current pirates remind me of the reavers from firefly, because they always rape me before killing me.
