Looking for people who test a cursor for sight impediment people

My post which was send yesterday has been disappeared. Because I did not received an PN about the reason I do not kwon whether it was deleted for being unwanted in the Forum, or it has being deleted because of forum errors and issues. So I send my post again. I really don’t want so upset you, and I make an excuse if this post is undesirable.

A reason why this post is worthwhile to Stardock:
It would be a wide spread advertisement for your software in the German speaking part of Europe. Since the usage of CursorFX cursors need the installation of the program, Stardocks could benefit from Swiss sight impediment schools and institutions who will use the cursor.

Some years ago I tried to make a real big curser for people with eye problems. I made the files as .PNG and as .cur (Windows standard). As I tried to use CursorFX (it is a long time ago… maybe it was CursorXP) I have had critical errors, and it was very difficult to get rid of the program to protect the PC from damage.

But now after years, and after the release of Vista und W7, which both limits the maximum size of cursors too, I think it would be sad to cancel the Idea.

My intention: I search for a user in this forum, on whose PC runs CursorFX quite good. My Idea is: I send you the cursor, you test it whether it works or not, and tell me about it. Totally cool was if you would be able to make a printscreen of the running cursor, or like make a real photo from you cell phone cam grabbed by the PC screen.

Whats your benefit?
I want to give the cursors away for free to help people with bad eyes so I won’t pay you anything. On my Website, where I present my big cursor, I will note that you helped me. If you want so I write your username or real name.

If this is something for you, and you want to test weather my cursor works or not, comment this post.

CursorFX has problems in it's Control Panel...problem with freezing. Just like the unimpeded public, the sight impaired own computers with different OS's. The program isn't bug free.

I would think the magnifying accessory tool would be helpful, Boojakascha.

Why not just make your cursor a .cur file and have folks use the magnifier too?

Anyway, why not try approaching one of the artists who post his/her work in the CursorFX Gallery? That way maybe you could get the help you need.

If you have a question about wht a Post may have been removed, why not private message a Moderator and ask? Usually those things are private and not discussed in an open, public forum.

Those magnifier, count to the best software ever made :)
I know elderly people who use them at home or at their office jobs.

I think the windows size limit for cursors is 32x32 pixels. This is big but not always big enough.

I once made a cursor like crosshairs in a gunsight.....a latitude and longitude line which would pan/scan across the screen.....to work, the cursor had to be effectively twice the width and height of the whole screen resolution [at that time my res was 800x600 ....so the cursor was 1600 x 1200 pixels].

It was a heck of a resource-hog...but it worked...;)

This is cool^^ I made it to save a .cur cursor file with 200x200 Pixels, but if I activate it in Windows it get scaled down to 32*32. How can I force Windows to be more generous?

.... just give a try to BigMousePointer  (click "free software" in the top left of the page, there BMP is the 4th entry from top)

This program sits in the tray bar (with the clock, etc) and enables you to use a BIG arrow (of just about any size and color) as the mouse pointer.

have another try: with "Lecture Pen" you can tranform  the normal cursor in a big pen but you can also change the image as you want !   :)
