WindowBlinds 7.01 Update Released

Today we are excited to announce the 7.01 update to WindowBlinds from Stardock.  WindowBlinds lets Windows users change the complete look and feel of Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 by applying one of thousands of skins that are available.  There are all types of skins available to fit nearly every taste, whether it’s a minimal look or a wild and colorful personalization for your desktop.  WindowBlinds 7 also allows you to “skin” Aero so it is easy to make simple changes to the default look of Windows Vista/Windows 7 by applying colors or textures.

What’s new in WindowBlinds 7.01:

  • Microsoft themepacks now appear as sub-styles of Aero, and can be applied
  • New guided tour on first run
  • More textures added
  • Explorer backgrounds page now shows the textures from the textures page too
  • Many other minor tweaks
  • Modified Aero entry added to skin list.

WindowBlinds 7 users can now update via Impulse.  WindowBlinds 7 is part of the Object Desktop suite of desktop enhancements, and can be purchased stand-alone for $19.95.  More information and a free trial can be downloaded from www.windowblinds.net.

I'm sure that Neil has been notified by koop, but I'll say it anyway (cuz I'm a nag). This update has rendered Photoshop CS3 useless.

I have had to exclude PS in the WB config in order to be able to use it :(

Mine too. I tried various settings in WB in the 'per application' tab and nothing helps. Whenever you max the window, the document window goes blank and you cant see your project at all. I had to exclude Photoshop entirely just to be able to use it.....and an unskinned Photoshop is downright UGLY!:puke:

We are aware of the CS3 issue and have a fix that should go up on Tuesday.  CS2 and CS4 should be unaffected.

oh dont suppose you could fix a couple of other programs? World of warcraft in windowed mode the min/max/close buttons seem to be in a "different place" to where the graphic is for the button (pressing min could max the window or do nothing at all for example depending on the skin). I have to have it on the non skin list :( Google Chrome - the min/max/close button mouseovers don't make the buttons glow (not the end of the world, but you know) Also, Microsoft Virtual PC 2007, when the PC boots up, the windows don't resize properly, and the buttons dont appear correctly at the bottom. Sorry, Im sure there is somewhere on a forum I should put this, but as you happen to be reading it :) Thanks loads.
