What's the Best Sins Mod?

I am thinking of playing this game again, and I was wondering what some of the best mods are out there. I tried doing some research on Google, but it was confusing since a lot of mods aren't done yet. What mods (that are fairly complete) would you recommend? I really want a good Star Wars one.

well for just an overall improvement of the game I recommend this one

Distant Stars

We are fully up to date with 1.05 Entrenchment and ready to roll for Diplomacy at a moments notice (Diplomacy was released early for those who helped with the beta so we got it)

The others (there are two Star Wars ones will get them for ya) are not quite up to date to 1.05 yet so you might want to wait a bit for them

1.05 shouldn't have broken anything.  The only thing the 1.041 mod releases should be missing is the string entry for the "buy diplomacy" button on the main menu.

It broke my mod (Sins of the 13th Tribe). Well, kind of. You can still play it, but all the meshes are gone...

When I tested Distant Stars at 1.041 I got a minidump and there is very little beyond coding changes that we made so we had to up date ours

I don't think it has been updated for the latest patch yet, but a good one to keep an eye on is Dolynick's Stargate Races mod.  The three stargate races he has implemented so far have very unique playstyles.

i would recommend 7 deadly sins, but that mod has been dead for a while it seems.

I wasn't all that impressed with 7 Deadly Sins.  What turned me off of it was different races having other races' ship icons for very different ships.  As soon as I saw that I said to myself, "This isn't viable for online multiplayer" and lost interest.  I think Distant Stars is a much better mod (though I wonder whether it would cause lots of lag in online multiplayer).
