Norton Internet Security sorry to here you have that ... remove Norton and get yourself AVAST they do have a free one
I had that happen to me also. Go to settings, there is something in there that I changed and now it is ok. But sorry I don't remember what I changed. DC...I have used Nortons since 1995, never had a problem , and I know most people here hate Nortons!!
thx guys for the answers
i wanted to try norton 2010 trial version, i have been using norton also few years ago, and then switched to kaspersky, kaspesrky has espired on my comp, so i wanted to try norton again, but seems that i dont´t liked anymore...
i tryed to change settings but norton deleted again meridian clock, so i deinstall it, and now using kaspersky CBE Edition it is german COMPUTER BILD Magazine in Germany, they have Kaspersky own Edition and it is free for 1 year, i think i´m gonna stay on kaspersky, because anyway,i dont like it that Norton use about 20 MB Ram and kaspersky 5mb...and it can be really pain in the ass.Norton send too much Informations,he have to be cool and quiet like kaspersky do.
DC ....is it Avast Home Edition really good? what firewall are you using with Avast?
thx
Yeah ...and i forgot to tell that my beautiful Meridian Clock is here again ![]()
Norton...pshh. iolo all the way.
Nortons were ok but I liked Triumphs

Yes.. and it is free for 18 month and you can renew it every 18 months it might be 15
I do here that kaspersky is one of the good ones too ..
I am just using Win 7's fire wall .
Right now I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials the free one that i if their is a pay one. it's ok it was sucking a lot of CPU until
I told it to stop looking into my slave drive.. and was going slow when looking into slave drive cause it would scan every fold as you open them
here is another good one ZoneAlarm Security Suite and it has a fire wall to it can be a pain in the ass at time getting a site to open or to stop a program sending info thats the fire wall part of it
I hate norton because when I first got a PC in 2001 it would pop up and tell me in found something so I would hit the remove button then norton comes back with could not remove. so i found Avast and was like wow this one good.. tried other just to see
I know I just keep going on and on
Here is another free prog that is very good and very fast looking for mal-ware... http://www.malwarebytes.org/
And then there is cc cleaner for keeping your pc fit... http://www.ccleaner.com/
It's perfectly fine to not like Nortons...there are many Internet Security security programs to try, and some are free, some not!!
thx Teddy...yes i´m already using free version of malwarebytes , only for scan.....and ccleaner also,i think this is a "must",,
thx anyway ![]()
As seems to be the concensus here....lose Norton, it's a POS. ![]()
"Nice anchor...but where's the boat?"....;p
I use Microsoft Security Essentials, and it runs great. Its hardly noticeable at all and it silently updates in the background with control over when it updates or not.
