If you have a WinCustomize subscription the site should look like this:

Even then, the front page looks like a massive ad.

Brad, I can't get past the banner ad so I can login. It blocks the text box where I need to type...lol.

Have you tried a different browser?

Brad: it does look like that for me, so it's fine at least on my computer. I'm also seeing the expandable flash ad on top of the dimmed screen (except that it's not obscuring the login box for me unless it is in its expanded state).

Having a normal image ad in its place would be nicer though, or at least tweaking the code so that it respects z-order (I'm guessing it's not supposed to appear on top of the screen like it does)

PurrBall: just install AdBlock-Plus (on Firefox) or AdThwart (or some other adblocking plugin, on Chrome) and don't look back.

Having only the two ad blocks on the bottom would be fine IMO, the huge one on top makes it so that there is almost more ad space on the main column than actual site content shown. Moving it to a right-column ad like on the current site would be nicer if that's possible.

The Stardock banners are place holders. Eventually they'll be used to promote different things going on on the site.

No, but IE8 is my browser of choice. I'll try firefox.

I think the ad-on-top thing is very weird, maybe a video driver issue.  I get it when I use VMware but not anywhere else.

Works on FF3.

this is a specific problem we are having with certain flash ads.  We are trying to find a way around this issue, as it stands now if you refresh the page there is a good chance you will get a different ad that doesn't mess with the login overlay.

Also I believe we have turned off all banner ads for the time being until we get this ironed out so you shouldn't have the problem period right now, let me know if you are still having issues.
