*UPDATE* Hedgie's suggestion fixed it. Guess I hadn't dug into MMs playlist creations deep enough. Thanks Hedgie, karma for you!

I use the Automatic playlists in MM to do it. It works pretty well.

I use iTunes everyday and it doesn't bog my system done at all. It works just as it should. I'm on Windows.
