Oh, I couldn't imagine going through what you are going through right now, Shauna. I haven't lost someone close to me for many many years and never through a long illness. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sister and the rest of your family.

Its been over 12months since the devastating news of my sister Joan, she is still holding strong and while we were given a time line things do look better, I mean she may never improve and it may only be a day by day thing but every day is a blessing to have her with us..... I LOVE YOU MY SISTER. can I just say again thank you to you all for your thoughts and prayers, and kind words of support  it means so much to us

for sure my Nephew rang to say that Joan and her Husband will be going to Perth Western Australia sometime soon and hopes that she will be able to travel the distance. as its a long flight from Tasmania to Western Australia its about 3 to 4 hour flight roughly .

Would be nice...as long as it doesn't involve suffering. Main thing is, you still have her...right?

it sure is I feel so blessed to have her still in my life and the fact the the recent floods spared us the heart ach of loosing everything we have been so lucky.

An update, I know that reviving a thread is a no,no I  just didn't see the point in starting another one for the same thing, my sister Joan is not well again  after  a year  since being diagnosed with brain cancer then  this year sometime had a stroke, today I got news to say shes gone down hill again with very high blood pressure which I am told is through the roof and she has blood clots, not sure where they are  at this point in time...  all the same blood clots are dangerous, and it looks like their trip to Perth Western Australia is canceled due to the fact that she is not well enough  to fly and she wouldn't be fit enough to go anyway.  its just so hard not being there for her  at the moment as I have the flue myself and I wouldn't be able too afford to go there  even if I wanted too  the funds for us at the moment are a bit tight but we manage. Please can I ask  you all to keep us in your prayers and thoughts again thank you  everyone :'(
