am thinking of treating myself to this dell as a retirement pressie - has anyone got one and if so is it good value? :grin:

I like Dell products in general, I think you can't go wrong with Dell, affordable and very good value for the price. If you are buying one, make sure you google about coupons, you can find sometimes very good deals :)

i got a desktop dell studio xps they rock, ive never bought a dell before, but i was assured they are awsome......and they are...good present, go for it.

I own a Dell XPS M1530 notebook... It's about a year and a half old and still looks and works beautifully. B)

my very first computer was a dell optiplex gx100 - what a great old pc, i still have it and it works good. thanx for your comments i am deff gonna treat myself

Also if you have AAA, you can go through the Dell EPP (employee purchase program) i purchased a few things that way about six months ago, and they give you a good break, also check out HP, HP is having a huge sale along with free shipping, I have an HP Home entertainment laptop and love it, tough decision between HP and Dell for me as i like them both, never had a problem with either ones products

I can't fault Dell quality and reliability. I just retired my Dimension 4500 this week, and it still works real well. (actually, it's been retired to my sons room where he is going to use it for music recording)
