Talk about scared people. Is Rush really that much of a problem for them? Can they not handle a single man? Is death the only solution to their problem? And they call themselves talkshow host, commentators and reporters.

Just a week ago the R's in the senate were praying for a D senator to die and not make the vote.

In other words, political extremists want their extremist opponents to die. On both sides.

This isn't news, and isn't even worth mentioning anymore.

You want to back that up with links?  Or is that just your opinion based upon your desires?  I think the later.

I'd like to see evidence.

Someone made a comment to the effect that the only prayer of defeating the Senate bill was for one of the 60 Dems to not show up or 'fail to make the vote.'  Referring to no person in particular and certainly not 'praying for a D senator to die.'  I understand perfectly how libs/leftists choose to see no difference, however.

These people are really pathetic.

They whine over how we treat terrorists, yet they have no problem wishing this on a radio show host.

Well, despite what some anti-liberal sheeple are claiming, not all liberals want to see him dead, but I expect nothing less from those types of people. >_> That said, though I cannot stand his show and feel that it's a waste of air time - I for one hope he gets better and does not die. Every life is precious; I'll keep him in my thoughts.

Yeah well, as usual, people will read into comments whatever they want - left and right. I seem to remember something some democrat said in 2009 that, of course, the republican politicians and pundits ran with.

Typical bullshit politics...

btw, it was Senator Coburn that made the original comment, and Durbin that made the first comment about it (So far as I know).

Your link is pretty funny, AJ.  Classic MSNBC-style 'interpretation' of a 'hidden meaning' only they can see.  At least they printed the actual quote.  Give 'em that.

Typical liberal - trying to attach their sins to others.  WHile AJ and MF danced at the news, and reveled in the expectation of death, they had to find some sliver of an excuse where none exists.

They really are pathetic.  I wonder if we should bring back hats so at least their brains will be good for something.  Wait, that is their skull, so even an empty headed liberal can wear a hat.

But then I repeat myself.

I've searched through the JU forums since Ted Kennedy's diagnosis of brain cancer - can't find any 'Die, Ted, Die!' posts.  But we're the rabid crazies.  Maybe I missed 'em.

And Limbaugh was one of the first to wish him well, and offer prayers for his recovery. Beck and Hannity, those other two thoroughly hated, high-profile mouthpieces of traditional values, also wished Kennedy a speedy and complete convalescence. Ironic, no?

Whenever you find yourself the target of liberal bile and attack, take heart; you know you're doing something right.

Reminds me of the guy who posted on the DU after Reagan died. Said he'd been keeping a bottle of champagne for years, for just that occasion, and he couldn't wait to get home, open the fridge and pop it open.

These are the people who claim to be the compassionate, caring ones. When something like this happens, however, their true nature is shown, caught in the harsh glare of blinding truth.

To be fair, AJ did express a disagreement with these cold-hearted yokels.

Children.  Read the link the original poster posted.  Its nothing more than Quotes from Twitter and message boards.  Is the ravings of people on the internet really to be equated with the liberal mainstream?

Once again conservatives use their favorite tactic.  One which you cant go 2 minutes without hear on Fox or talk radio: The straw man.  The most effective tactic in the new media.  Build up an invisible enemy and equate it with your real opponents.

Get quotes from Nanci Peloci, BO or Keith Obermann wishing death.  Then you might have a fraction of a point.  In the mean time get the hell over it.  You want us to go snooping around twitter and message boards for the "mainstream" conservative views on Obama?  Yeah, thats right.

Frankly, RW, you cannot pin this completely on certain democrats/liberals because it also happens with certain republicans/conservatives. It's an equal opportunity immaturity that is expressed by all. Btw, I find it unlikely that you could say it is predominant to one side or another beause it doesn't seem like something you could find stats for. (Besides, it is a very partisan/biased issue..who, really, would get to decide what is not compassionate?)

To be fair, AJ did express a disagreement with these cold-hearted yokels.

Thank you RW, thank you very, very much. Finally, geesh, lol.

Interesting point, hmm.

It seems to me that both sides do this. In this case, you have the fallacious act, by these conservative people, of applying what one, or two, or a few stupid people have said - to an entire belief system. Oddly enough, if the same act was used towards, say, christianity...there most likely wouldn't be a problem. But these are just my observations.

One thing those on the Left rarely seem to grasp---unless it works to their advantage, of  course---is the old adage, "where's there's one, there are two; where there are two, four....etc." There are lot of hateful liberals out there; you guys hate us unreasoningly. It's always been that way, and always will.

Once again conservatives use their favorite tactic. One which you cant go 2 minutes without hear on Fox or talk radio: The straw man.

"Straw man"...hmm. You mean Obama? He's been grasping at straws since he was sworn in.:D

Be our guest; when you find a wish of death, come back and show us. I remember hearing Air America's " comedy skits" about the assassination/execution of Bush. Then they complained about being investigated by the Secret Service. Duh....

Brad listed some hate quotes.  And it is not like they are hard to find.  Herewith some more from another source:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/12/30/2009-12-30_rush_limbaugh_is_in_good_stable_condition_says_radio_fillin_walter_williams.html

ANd of course lest we forget, that Wanda Sykes joked about it over 6 months ago - and Obama laughed. http://israelnewsletter.com/2009/05/11/should-obama-have-laughed-at-jokes-calling-for-death-of-limbaugh/

Compassionate liberals.

Come on RW, you know this is true about conservatives - or anyone for that matter that choose to do see another person as different and "evil". (See: Pseudospeciation, Erik Erikson) It reminds me of a quote(1): "The folks who can only see 'left' and 'right' prove that ____ was right. People can be manipulated like trained chimps by just telling them that the other chimps are different."

Note:

1 - I edited out an individual's name because my emphasis is on the quote, not the person and I felt that by leaving the name in, people would automatically make assumptions without actually considering the quote. The editing does not in anyway affect the meaning of the quote.

That's the spirit!  I personally like listening to Randi Rhodes - so I know what the moonbats are up to! ;)

You also have to admit, listening to KO is fun, too.  The TV's at risk when I do, though, so I make sure there are no heavy, throwable objects nearby.

I really dont do TV that much.  I do radio cause it can be playing in the background as I do other things.

Personally I find Rachel Maddow to be more entertaining, at least she doesn't pretend to be unbiased and journalistic.
