Well Christmas is unfortunately over, and I have been reading about all the gadgets and goodies that people received.  I bought quite a few games over the past week, but I did take the gift cards I received and bought a PS3.  I really didn’t get it just for the games, but we needed a media outlet for the master bedroom TV, and the blu-ray and Netflix streaming would be well worth it.

25' monitor, A print from iso50 called "winter", A book called CSS Anthology by Rachel Andrew, And my favorite was a self portrait of my mom she did before she died that i had not seen before. Oh, and we got the family a Nintendo Wii.  Not all gadgets, but thats what i got. :)

Next year I'm gonna see if I can get a gadget for our butcher... to save hime having to use that confounded piece of string.

What piece of string, you might ask???  Put it this way, when I saw it hanging out of the top of his pants, I felt compelled to ask: "WHY????"

His explnation was that the other end was tied to his whatchamaclallit, and he used it to save wasting some much water from washing his hands.  "Well that's alright, I replied: " but how on earth do you get it back in your pants???

"Oh, that's easy," he answered: "I use my tongs!" 

Yup, a gadget is definitely in order there. :-"

Tax Time will be my gadget time as I seek to get myself a WD TV Live or which ever equivelent is out that is better at the time.

I bought a WD TV last year and it's still one on the best devices I've ever picked up. I've been thinking about getting one of the new live versions, but since I've got mine hooked to the net anyway I'm not sure if I need one.

my wife got a 7 port usb hub so she can have two full size monitors for her work laptop and I got a pair of noise reducing ear muffs that I can plug my nano into, really helps when blowing leaves or cutting grass.

im waiting for tax time baby...ima get me pretty much a super computer...i have to build it myself but i have nevr had a piece of equipment so nice before...it'll be hooked up to my 42" tv that will be replaced with a 52" for the living room...yay! i get a 42" monitor for making music and doing graphics :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer:

I got a Tivoli Audio Model One table radio from work. Giving it on to my wifey as I cannot make myself listen to the radio and all the stupid songs/ppl there.

And I got some cash that will go into my gaming-rig-fund (I am at $1000 now). Will buy sometime before Elemental is released. Could also be timed around Supreme Commander 2 :)

i got Arma 2, an electric razorblade and an amazing " tireuse a bière" i don't know how to translate this maybe beer pump but it's not exactly true because mine can use presurized barrels or unpresurized ones with small CO2 gaz canister...

I thought i came out gadgetless this year. Couldn't get around till today to some family due to snow. Ended up getting a 4GB thumbdrive. In itself not a big deal, but it was already loaded with over 1300 songs :) .

Can you run two/dual monitors this way? I got a 7 port USB hub as well for all the stuff I have running, but was not aware that you could run monitors through them. I would love to be able to do that.

Not quite for Christmas, but tomorrow I'm getting an Asus EAH5770-2DIS-1GD5-Radeon 5770, for my main rig.  The 9800GT (Low Powered) I had in it died, and thought it will be replaced under warranty, I'd rather put that in my spare rig and intall a PSU powered card in my main rig.  I originally wanted to go with a Nvidia GTX260 card, but here they're as rare as hens teeth at the moment, and the ATI based 5770 does compare favourably at a slightly better price.
