Hey this is just for laughs. No one really thinks women drive that way....ok most women don't drive that way.

Sad but true ;p

Haha so true. The worst are Teenage girls and OLD women. Florida roads are chalked full of both them. It's driving hell.

Here is my saying that sums up the female drivers debate.....

Men are bad drivers because they choose to take foolish risks, women are bad drivers because they are late for an appointment!

Phneh. I live in Florida less than an hour from the Georgia border. The real thing to watch for in my humble university town is a South Florida license plate. Gender's a secondary factor compared to those folks' general belief that each and every one of them is king or queen of the roads. Dade plates + cell phone in hand = watch that idiot like a hawk until you can reasonably get out of their kill zone...

Florida women and men are the worst drivers ever, when ever I take my run around the block. I nearly get run over atleast 5 times. Why? because they believe they can drive and text or talk on the phone. Or because they have absolutely no clue about the traffic laws.

^ totally agree. Ive never seen such pompus attitudes. Even the seniors down here drive like they have no sense.

in my experience, the worst drivers in Australia (where i live) are taxi drivers and Asians.

In fact, whenever an Asian and roads come into contact, keep your eyes peeled and your speed low

i was driving down a hill on a very straight road with no one in front of me and perfect visibility all the way up the hill i was coming down.

an Asian woman ran out from the right side of the road (as we drive on the left here) and if i hadnt slammed on the breaks i would have hit her fair and square going 60Kms an hour

she didnt even flinch

Yes, i know this comment would be rascist, if it wasnt so easily applicable to 90% of asians i see on the road. how the FUCK they get their licences i have no idea...

I don't think it matters what part of Florida you're from, if you take to the roads on Sunday you're taking your life into your own hands. Those old people go nuts at church time and then for the "early bird" specials....and don't get me started on the damn snow birds.

Another of the worst places in Florida to drive is right here in Deland at Stetson College. There's soooo many air head barbie dolls trying to drive their fancy cars that dady bought them but for some reason they can't stop texting long enough to make sure their not running people over.

all i know is, i triple check when i cross the road now.

That sounds like a stereotypical american collegemovie. I've seen so many of those that I honestly don't know if it really is that way in american schools.

But how the hell do they get their driving licenses??    Don't you have to pass a driving test with an inspector next to you??

Actually, no. In Florida if you take Drivers Ed you get a form exempting you from the driving portion of the test.

Gonestly different races drive differently in america. I would rather be in a var with a black women behind the wheel than most black men I know.

Hell in my family before anyone can drive by themself moms make sure we can drive first, and for the first two weeks behind the wheel we aren't allowed to turn on the radio or anything. So we get use to what our car sound like when something isn't wrong with it.

That's another bit of 'improvement' from the idiots in Tallahassee who think that the only real reason to have a legislature is to cut taxes and try to farm out as much public service work as possible to profiteering cronies. I got my license around 1980, after I'd passed driver ed, and I had to take the driving test with a real FHP staffer in the car.

Mind you, a few years later I learned that even back then, Florida had laughably humble requirements for earning the privilege of a driver's license. The Germans might have backslid recently, but apparently they used to make a direct connection between the idea of a no-speed-limits autobahn and rigorous standards for who could get on the darned things.

Been my experience that women in SUVs are the worst. Either believing they need 20 feet of clearance to back up 5 feet, or trying to backup the aforementioned 20' with having only 5' of room. Take it as chauvinistic or what have you , but I have seen it on far too many occasions.

interesting how no women have come to defend themselves?

It seems that women CAN be more patient and careful.

I would say accidents involving men are more reckless mistakes (at high speed), while accidents involving women are stupid mistakes at slow or medium speed.

If there was a compilation of vicious high-speed crashes, it would most likely consist of 75% male drivers (or more)

for instance, my cousin (female) crashed into a mailbox going maybe 2 miles an hour, a fellow student crashed into the entrance of the highschool at maybe 15 miles an hour (female)... meanwhile a friend flips over a car during a turn due to excess speed (male)
