Can you elaborate? We've had a similar problem in the office with a laptop installation of Sins. I suspect you might've solved it via a reinstall, but I'd love to know more so we can squash this thing at its roots.

my mistake was not to intall that microsoft software when i got asked to before diplomacy got installed. :D

As i reinstalled diplomacy i noticed this oftware the first time. first i thought it is just a directx update X|

maybe you could discribe why it needed to be installed ;)

I actually had this exact same issue whilst merging Distant Stars with Diplomacy. The issue I had was due to the Pipeline effects folder loading older files after reinserting the Diplomacy files for a second time it fixed the issue.
