An Idea for Fleets

I have a suggestion that could make alliances very helpful as well.

Perhaps a give fleet option? You could research it in the diplomacy tech tree. 

Here is what It might do-

You can create a fleet, then under tactics management. Click on something that says "Give Ally... (allies names) fleet." then select for how long. That would make the ally you chose  have control of that fleet for however long you told it to give them control. They couldn't research things for the fleet but could just control it for small amounts of time at your permission.

This idea is kind of still exactly that... an Idea. So tell me what you think

There's another thread that recommended allowing "shared control" of all your units, which would be extremely helpful.

 

I don't think fleets would be the right place to put this feature, since many people don't like using fleets.

fleets need a 'resonant gravity wave' tech so that it can have a speed bonus, because it always travels at the speed of the slowest.

I dont like the idea simply because of the AI. Its good but I wouldnt trust the AI with my hard built fleet. I'd rather shared control and then only if it were flexible rather than completely under AI control

Well If this were an option you could choose if you would want to get someone a fraction of your fleet for a certain amount of time.
