The demagogue

France finds lost spy file on young Hitler

"Hitler was the head of the NSDAP (Nazi Party) when the A4-size record was made, and it refers to him as the “German Mussolini,” going on to say he "is not an idiot but (...) a very skillful demagogue."

I just found it interesting, is all.

I wonder...

Actually, I think Demagogue is a perfectly explained cause for "common crusades" ... aka those crusades taken by the peasantry. Of course, the church dictated an attack on such and such nation which was in charge of Jerusalem, but using Demagogues you can rally even more troops to call to your bidding. Although some might charge forth ahead of your call (like the first Peasant Crusade) and be slaughtered by a more organized enemy. However, gathering those peasants with the heraldry of the Demagogues, and using the extra man-power to bolster your own ranks ... under your organization ... can greatly increase the strength of your questing/crusading army.

This is why I think some system of Demagogues/Demagoguary should be included in a game which has similar religious/political aspects.

Hmm, I have a feeling that mentioning even game based politics and religion kills a thread faster than mentioning Nazis randomly. And no, Im not talking about this thread. This thread started with Nazis, so it already died a stillbirth.

my two cents
