The_Mermaid

Light General

A mermaid 'spellcaster'. Sustained herself in a hovering aqua sphere. the Mermaid gain mastery of elemental water and all its states. Able to summon liquid fishes (also hovering) as her minion. Wants to explore the 'drylands' above, curious of humans. The arena is like her playground. Her skills include abilities that affect the field on the larger scale.

I originally salvage this interesting idea from Occulus's old skill set, and tinker it into awesomeness. ENJOY!!

Strength

-infinite range attack

-area control

Weakness

-no area damage

-weak melee

Skills:

1)Liquid laser: super-fine laser attack, penetrate through any units, straight trajectory, friend and foe. Liquid laser has infinite range. deals around 250 initial damage, and dot damage up to 100 per second. Consume a fish every seconds to increase attack duration. additional levels increase damage and liquid fish consumption.

------

2)Liquid fish(passive): automatically summon liquid fish from her sphere. it hovers, can't attack and can only be attacked by othe demigods. additional level increase summon rate, visibility radius and minion stats. Used primarily as scouts and 'ammo' for liquid laser and counter sphere.

------

3)Barrier(passive): -wh en fishes are stationary, reduce armour of enemy by 15% within visiblity range. effect last 10 secs. can't stack

-when fishes are stationary, also increase atk of allies by 15% within visibility range. effect last 10 secs. can't stack

------

4)Parasite: fish attaches* to an ally, increasing stats by 10%. fish dissolved after 20 secs

-fish attaches* to an enemy, also decrease stats by 10%.Fish dissolved after 20 secs

(*This require the targeted demigod within proximity of a fish...)

------

5)Vapor Obscura(ultimate): every enemy units temporarily loses 30% visibility. liquid laser now deals anti-armour damage. last 10,15 sec

-enemy units within fish visibility range are temporarily slowed 30%

-----

6)Counter sphere: consume a fish (as ammo), the Mermaid create another sphere like her own on targeted allied unit. 150%,250% armour. A chance to stun (animation:freeze units) any enemies damaging targeted unit.  Enemy demigods have shorter stun duration. last up to 25 sec

-----

7)Cold tactics(lvl 15): require both parasite and barrier maxed out. increase their effectiveness of buffs and debuffs by 20%. Now liquid laser has a chance to stun enemy units.

If Regulus were a general, this would be her....

The Mermaid's standard attack and liquid laser have infinite range, and only Liquid laser can penetrate multiple units. Both have MUCH weaker firepower in comparision to Regulus's skillset (unless continious supply of liquid fish available). Liquid fish is best utilise for uncovering weak spots in enemy territories. The Mermaid can be adapted into a 'macro' general, influencing lanes and tagging enemy demigods on the larger scale. Just don't engage her in close range battles, though her sphere counter does provide some support.

It is very interesting.  I'm not sure about the infinite range however.  Something similar to regulu's range I think might be appropriate.  boundless just seems to fraught for abuse.  It would be interesting to see if the Moding community will pick this up.

well its mainly liquid fish passive. is it like erebus' minionsn where they just spawn on creep death or ....? im just wondering how that whole concept works (spheres and fish).

Point taken! Just bear my english though..

In a way, yes the passive effect of liquid fish is similar to erebus's minions. But rather than waiting for dead corpses, the liquid fish just buds off, cell division style, from the Mermaid's sphere. Since she is literally IN a hovering globe/sphere of water, so i imagine she would use some of it to create her minions.

In short: Just an animation sequence thing, similar to Sedna's or Qot. But unlike both of them, the summoning/spawning of liquid fish is passive--until a cap limit is reached of course.

By default, these liquid fishes would hover near the Mermaid, just following her around. But as with other similar minions, liquid fishes can be manually moved around the arena.

Not to be confused with her 'Counter sphere' (though both looked similar...I should've used a different name). Here the effect is reversed and a liquid fish is 'destroyed/consumed' as a price, before invoking the spell on an allied unit.

Hope that helps..

I will encorporate her aqua sphere movement thing (great solution for her movement) into my own water demi, but in my own way of course! She is a neat idea Doc, I just don't like water as an elemental power, i guess, so im not much of a fan...sry
