fleet with hability

idea

hi  maybe  some players dont like the next what i say but  is the true :

like soase is a better copy of the game  called  "conquest frontier  wars"(=3 races,= and 3 or 4  things moore), can put in diplomacy or in soase 2  the  option  to make  fleet´s  with  habilities, explain me : if  you  make a fleet with a commander type A you have moore atk in the carreirs or  extra  shields, if you make a fleet  with a commander type B you  have  moore atk  against  the vasari  or  moore damge  in lasers

that  will be great and make  the players  to do and keep  his fleets and  make combos  to atk

ps

the type  off  commader  can be capital ship for example, a  fleet  with a  marza of commader will have moore damage in guns, or a fleet  with a progenitor  all  fleet  have  20  or 15  % moore  in shields

etc etc

if you dont play   "conquest  frontiers wars"  dont call me  lier

I have Conquest Frontier Wars, it was a good game.  The Fleet Commanders was a good idea, but there was no real tech tree, so there is no need for them.

The Fleet commanders would add bonuses to certain types of ships and they only had 1 life.  The commander would automatically board the strongest ship and escape in a shuttle when destroyed.  But can die easily.  You could only make 5 of them.  The fleet ships did not have any bonuses just 1 or 2 abilities.

All balanced RTS games have 3 races.  Human/Alien/techno or psychic type races.

A cool game, but a problem were the jump gates that had to be build at jump nodes.  Allies can fly through them, opponents would need to destroy them to get through.  The were needed for supply in each solar system which contained the planets instead of gravity wells like in SOASE.

Instead of fleet commanders, Blair is adding diplomats for a diplomacy type of victory in the expansion.  I can't wait for the beta to be released.

Eh, I've played some wonderful RTS games with only 2 factions, though very few in recent years have had so few.

Certainly Starcraft set the tone and made 3 factions the standard, but by no means does this mean it's the only way to do things.  It does seem to be a magic number that balances the number of factions with the amount of content per faction, but I don't think it's the only way to do things.

Personally I think that more races can and should be made. starcraft set up 3 races sure, but that doesnt mean we should be limited.

coomand and  coinquer  have  many  "races"

the  game  what i say and soase are  very similar in

races that include colors, voices, aspect, history,

tech tree = booh games  have very  similar tech in  1 way or other

concept idea=  booth  games  dont  have  misions or a mision  like a  skirmish

ahh ,  in weapons too

they didnt have many races they had different factions. Up until C&C generals they went with only 2 factions Allies vs. Communists or GDI vs. NOD. Generals finally accepted the three factions idea with China, US and terrorists. But C&C Red Alert series always pits the Allies (they may be different individual countries, but they all use the same Tech so they are technically one faction) against the Communists (again individual countries, but used the same tech). Only difference was some individual countries were allowed to get certian weapons unlike the others in the same faction. ie the French and that damn Uber cannon of theres.

As far as SoaSE is concerned it has a hellof a lot of room for more factions. Its space and theres plenty of room for more alien races or even Long lost Human factions to show up and start changing the game. Definitely introducing more variety in the choices of ships. Maybe even different Capital ships could be introduced to each faction to allow for more variety to strategies and tactics. The lore mentions that the Advent was possibly one of many human sects that lost contact during the great wars of antiquity. Meaning there could be another TEC sized Human Empire out there all too willing to throw its weight around in a fight to the finish.

I havent played Conquest Frontier Wars, but it wouldnt surprise me that there are alot of similarites considering that alot of RTS games follow some really basic success rules.

well, AoE has around twelve factions, and it's incredibly balanced.  esp. AoE3, which has each race with completely different units, but they all average to about the same strength, battle-wise.  some factions have primarily strong, expensive units, while others are more like the Zerg - weak, inexpensive units.  but they still managed to keep everything quite balanced IMO

To be honest, AoE 1 and 2 had only one faction with a dozen subfactions that had differing perks and limitations.  It's a completely different (and totally valid) way of doing things.
