Anyone know what Impulse's download speed is? I could swear Brad had touted it as blazing fast due to it's being backed by a cloud of systems, but I've got FIOS with 25M/sec and I'm only seeing about 4.5M/sec on my Impulse download.

4.5M/sec is blazing.  Steam is lucky to give me more than 350K/sec.

I only get 1.5-2M/sec and that is still 6-8 times faster than steam.

Impulse usually has no trouble maxing out my 10mbit connection (works out to 1.0-1.2MB/sec).

Anyway, I've got a question. Does anybody who purchased Red Faction: Guerrilla know of any issues with the impulse version? Also, I know that I exceed the minimum requirements, but I've heard that this game is a real performance hog. I've got the following hardware:

1. AMD 7750 2.7Ghz dual core CPU

2. 9600GT 512MB video card

3. 4GB DDR2 800 RAM

4. Native resolution of 1680x1050

What are you guy's opinions? I think it will run okay (at least at medium-ish settings), but I'm not sure if the performance hit is worth it when I could just wait for somebody to run the xbox version on sale eventually. Sorry if this derails the thread somewhat.

**EDIT**

I guess I'm going to find out first hand what the performance is like. I just remember that I had 20% off coupon code and I figured that $16 is just too good of a price to pass up on the chance that it is actually a decent port. Downloading now, I'll post my performance later if anybody is interested.

BTW I highly reccomend AI War to anybody who is a strategy fan and doesn't require super fancy graphics. It's a very deep and enjoyable game.

Woooooo, Fifa Soccer 2010 is out, and Manchester United is playing Liverpool on Sunday!  This is going to be a great weekend.  :D

I have 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo E4700, similar video card and RAM, it runs acceptably on 1366X768 resolution and high settings (30-40 FPS), building collapses cause framerate drops, and 5.1 sound doesn't work, patch for that is coming "soon". And for some reason the main menu goes unresponsive for 1 second every 3 seconds for me. The gameplay overall it is quite enjoyable, though.

I just pulled down Red Faction: Guerrilla at 12M/sec.  Makes that 7.73GB download a lot more bearable!
