World in Conflict Soviet Assault issue

I recently got World In Conflict Soviet Assault, which is supposed to include the full World in Conflict game. However, it doesn't have an option let me play the American campaign, which is supposed to be much better than the Soviet one. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

Also, can you play single player skirmishes? The game doesn't even have an option for that either.

So, it switches between the factions? Or does it make you do the Soviet Campaign before the U.S. campaign?

I want to do the U.S. campaign first, so I might uninstall and reinstall, and cancel installation of Soviet

Personally, I would recommend playing the full campaign (American and Soviets together).  I really think that the game is better that way and there are a few events that tie in together in both campaigns.  For example, as the American/NATO forces, I played through one mission very well and was celebrating my victory.  Then, on the next mission, the game switches back to the Soviets and I find out that my victory as the Americans had a tragic cost for one of the officers I serve with.  One thing that this game did particularly well was that I cared about the characters in the game (American,NATO, and even the Soviets).  I also liked how the Soviet characters you serve with aren't automatically the generic, dripping with evil, bad guys.  They're just soldiers following orders.  It's also interesting just to see what the Soviets are up to while I'm defending the U.S. and they even mention some of the battles that you fight through as the Americans.  In short, playing through both campaigns adds to the already enjoyable storyline of the original.

Etrius, you have a World in Conflict account? What's your username there, if you play online? I'm Daraka14, if you ever wanna play a round.

No, but I'll make one. I'll send a private message you're ever up for a round. Sounds good. Is multiplayer great, or just okay?

Mulitplayer is.. OK.

The "golden days" of the multiplayer for WiC are essentially over, now it's just hardcore fans, and the occassional newbie playing for the first time.
