Yeah, I knew a Brazilian that claimed Brazil didn't see the need to legalize gun ownership because they are a peaceful people. My response was something along the lines of "people are people". Of course, her history professor said we used the atomic bomb on Japan as revenge for Pearl Harbor. *shrugs*

That's okay, I know gun control is baloney. You've already brought up Switzerland. Inversely, Colombia has very strict gun control laws, but proportionately beats out the United States in gun violence. Again, humans are what they are. Cultures and laws may make one thing more likely than another, but someone will always prove that anyone can do anything.

My neighbor has one of those, but he occasionally works in questionable areas. I would be lying if I said I never considered it, but outside of some crazy unlikely event, I don't see myself having a justification for one. It would make purchasing a firearm quicker, but that's about all a far as I could foresee.

Speaking of which, gotta qualify this weekend for CMP purchases. Usual safety testing and all. Planning to buy my best friend his own M1 Garand for his birthday.
