The ThreadKiller's Achievement; The honor of being the last person to post by virtue of the content of their post. However, moderators, admins, and anyone else who has the ability to lock the thread are disqualified from winning the ThreadKiller's Achievement, if they win by locking. If the thread is won by method of locking, the "winner" gains the Achievement Of Reprehensible Epic Lameness.

I saw a sniper rifle model. Good range for what it is, but I would want something where I can hit you with a foam dart from 500 yards. Yeah, that would be awesome.

Im thinking of adding an extra spring for more power in my sniper.
I thought the sniper model had a little more range. Doesn't matter. The automatic mounted high would rain down hell on them. Of course, you have to buy more links in order to really make it kick ass.
See, I don't usually add extra springs when I modify these things. I either user a longer/heavier gauge spring or if the model permits I put a block in the rear, forcing the spring into a tighter space. Works for old gun mags and ejection systems too.
That would work also, Ive not really look at how much room i got to play with but anyhow.
Well, the auto is battery operated so it got more kick, and shoots it farther. If I could mount the extended sniper barrel to auto then that thing you send them flying.

The problem with an extended barrel is that it's not rifled like a real gun, so you only get a minimum increase in distance or accuracy when adding the length. It very quickly becomes detrimental, adding 'dead air' in front of the projectile and causing it to lose a lot very quickly. I have an M16 airsoft gun which breaks down. The action is in the same place as with the real weapon and the barrel length is original. That weapon will fire with only moderate accuracy (think 3rd world AK-47) and moderate to minimal range. Hell, my shotgun does better because the wider barrel allows more play. When I remove the barrel and use it a sub-machine gun, I get a slight improvement in accuracy and a great improvement in range. So, depending on the strength of the piston (which can be modified through repositioning or lengthening the piston) it might be better to try and improve the mechanics rather than static structure. Personally, I've always wanted to refit one of my airsoft guns with an improved motor to get more torque with each shot.
