Stardock will be closed for Easter weekend starting on Friday, April 3rd and we will be returning on Tuesday, April 7th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time, but expect delays in responses during this time.

yeah, there are many ways of city building each with its own strengths and weaknesses, our sprawling ad-hoc has the strength of fast expansion short term but lots of problems long term (this applies to most if not all Terran cities)

Pfff...it's great, Fragile Alliance is way better than every other of your team deathmatch/Capture the Flag/VIP gimmic ususally found everywhere....way better than..I dunno MafiaII?

 

As a side note I love those review sites who bitched about Mafia II not being open world sandbox....oddly enough no one seems to remember Mafia I which was THE EXACT SAME THING.  But I guess pople got some high on GTA/Saint's Row/Crackdown/everyone other sandbox game, that if you put a game in some large city, you MUST have, and it MUST be,  sandbox.

 

Thank god for Kane & Lynch 2 then: 'least you got all the hardcore violent gritty feel without the "oh noes no sandbox WTF!!!!!11" going on.

reviews can be lame yes, that is why I try to get as broad cross section as I can because reviews are nothing more than opinions, some of the higher levels (PC Gamer and such) give the best IMHO as they try to stick to how hard the person tried to pull of the concept and don't get bogged down in silly things like "oh noes no _______ WFT!!!!!!111" which I too find is lame

Yeah, not to mention a fat check for advertising sure helps gaining a couple of points on the review sometimes....hell everytime!

 

Some games end up wiht a 9/10, 10/10 despite being jsut copy/paste model of your typical FPS/RTS/RPG, but hey, it got nice graphics, you can customise your magical ass scratcher your char have!  I have mine with cool decals Wooo-Hoo!

Frankly, I buy games that I want, screw them reviews..half the time I love a 5/10 game and hate a 10/10 one

hence why reviews must be taken with a grain of salt and you need a broad selection (both freelance and professional) to really see if its the game you want

Like Sun Age: some RTS who new thing was to subdivide classes of "base element" (biologic, mechanic, synthetic) what armour you had, and the possibility of ahving all your units of a same type to be in a square position instead of running all voer the palce all disorganised.

 

sure it got a 5/10 average, sure had fun wiht it though.

I never caugh up on the Infamous/Crackdown games..I kinda got bored of sandbox games...that and I played Saint's Row 2: can't be any better than that.
