Da.  Da, comrade Undying.  Yes, alcohol does thin out the blood reducing your core temperature, but your extremities warm up faster.  Properly clothed people in cold regions prefer this.  That is because it prevents the loss of fingers and toes from frostbite, and the clothing traps the heat in, thus maintaining acceptable core temperatures.  Dis is good for a person to keep their fingers and how you say, little piggies where dey belong.
