It's only too far if the thread gets locked.
As a casual observation since I work and live in and around Los Angeles, racial tensions really aren't much of an issue here in So.Cal., at least not until Jesse Jackson get's involved.
Every time there's something about race, trust me when I say that it didn't start off being about race, and once race was brought up, it was used to cover up criminal behavior. Almost nothing is about skin color.
I'm going to have to agree with Draak on this one. California is no where near the gold standard for racial tensions. If you want racial tensions, I'd kind of have to pick Asia and Latin America as my top two. Each Asian country hates those that aren't from their country and will kill outsiders for no other reason than they're outsiders, and in Latin America the pecking order of who you get to hate on is based on how far away from the US you are. Mexicans kill Guatemalans, who kill Hondurans, who kill Nicaraguans, who kill Costa Ricans, who kill Panamanians, who kill Colombians, who kill Peruvians, who kill Bolivians, who kill Argentinians... All for no other reason then they are from where they are.
If you're the type of person who thinks all Asians or Latin Americans are all ethnically the same and race is defined only by the color of your skin, then you got some learning to do.
