Well, although the extra support would be nice, I think you might have a point with Carbon taking the center. If Green has the Dunovs and Marzas from Red, it'll hold up, even if it covers far less ground than Blue would on the other side. That just means teh Gunships will have to pick up the slack on fighter cover so extra bomber wings can engage any loose ends. So that would leave Green with a holding action, Carbon drawing in the heavy hitters, and Blue collapsing the other flank. If Red comes in behind that, the enemy either holds their ground and falls under the relenting pressure (maybe with a little more damage on our side) or they make a quick retreat only to have three fleets on their heels and one smearing blood on their nose.
I don't see a way any force could sustain itself against all that, even with the targeting uplink the planet provides.
As for the internal politics, it can go either way. On the one hand, I enjoy having a story unfold in small bits and pieces, drawing you in to the end. On the other, it would give you more to post about (assuming this assault doesn't do that as it is). I would almost prefer to wait for the assault cause Alpha tends to give away a lot of information when he posts, which is fine for letting us all in on it, but is not my preference of storytelling.
As for -Ue_ providing support, I'll wait and see if Stant tips his hat and pokes the Lion.
Now, for something we hope you'll really enjoy...
BOOBIES!
