depends on how much you want to pay. i for one don't like to use them since they are too slow and expansive compared to cars.

i can't really say more about this since i am very biased against the db (deutsche bahn)

I was just wondering. I found the TGV in France to be pretty good, but it is a fairly new system. It's good to ask natives and insiders for travel tips. Save money and time. I was able to hit 9 museums in Paris for $18 American and eat lunch for $5-$7 a day. I was happy happy.

Yeah, the auto bahn (sp?) sounds like it has its advantages, but that does depend on car rentals. I'm the type that initially goes with a tour or some type of agency that sets me up to see a lot on my first run. Then if I find a place that I want to know more intimately or just hang, I'll go with a bit less planning, but hopefully with a few notes as to how and where to save. Plus, I'm cool with hostels and that saves a lot. Paris I got lucky with in that I was studying farther west and had small chances to just pop in.

If I'm still posting here and plan to head to Germany, I'll probably hit you up for info on how to save money.

I usually have good experiences, but I'm fairly easy going and have been lucky. And I love some of the places so much that I would deal with aggrevation for it. When leaving Scotland for Italy, my flight was cancelled cause of the guys that drove into the Glascow airport with that car full of gas. THAT was fun.

I hope we're being a bit more specific than just naming countries. The south is friendlier, cooks better, and is far more spread out than yankee country. A little racist, but generally better.

Where do I start. I have 2 of my childhood budz, and their son. They were driving over the bordor and just happened to the ones they picked to tear their vehicle apart to find nothing but a traumatized child. 

Planes crash.... one reason or other. I have been on planes. Hate the landing, fog etc.

Pirates if at sea....or some kinda cruise ship virus,or whatever. OOPS, man overboard.

I don't stress out driving across Canada. I realize accidents happen.  But I'm in control. 

I'm well aware it's fairly big world out there. But there's still the east coast of Canada left to see for me. Montreal. Ottowa. Nova Scotia.................

fear is higly irrational if it were rational you would be more afraid to get struck by ligthening then a plane crash.

as long as you are not afriad to leave your home it's allright i guess

    OK, I'm not a recluse guys. Nor do I have any intention of becoming one. I love taking pics to much for that.

And the friends that I mentioned earlier went to Mexico for Christmas........ they loved it.

I just happen to choose keeping my feet on the ground.

(But if I did travel, I would love to seen D. Lettermans show..)
