I've been playing T.E.C. many times and the Capital Ships when Auto named have TDN I imagion it's like uss for modern ships I was just wondering what TDN stood for.

[Classified] We have also heard rumors of an enemy the vasari are running from like little girls. We believe strikeing at their homeworlds will lead to mass paranoia that these unidentified enemies have caught up with them. Fear is the mindkiller. I still havent seen anything from the Network side of the debate on why its Network..........only a large distraction that took up almost two pages. Ive listed what the Navy side has listed as their references, which heavily back up our arguement. So who over there on the Network side is going to take up the mantle and lead your group and give us Navy guys a run for our money?

You've been talking about historical references and proof....but this game isn't realistic. Ships a quarter the size of a planet? This game wasn't meant to be realistic. So yes, while you can bring up evidence from the way armies work now (theres no evidence in the lore for navy or network), the bottom line is the devs don't really give a fuck. they could make it whatever they wanted, so we can wish it is whatever we want. And we wish network.

Cause we want it to be is a completely legitimate answer.....tell me allegiance, did the devs do all this research to come up with what the letter N should mean, or do u think they just picked what they wanted it to mean? Which makes more sense.
Considering how much Naval terms theyve used in the game though. I can say confidently they researched that info heavily. Maybe if you had a real knowledge of military's and how they operate youd be able to see it for what it is. Instead people started making crap up off the top of their heads. And just because it sounds cool must mean its exactly that.

They havent made a direct quote as to what N means. So if your going to come in here and constantly retorke my posts. Start responding with something more then that weak ass answer. Atleast WE (Navy) put effort in to our reasoning. Atleast WE (Navy) didnt just make up whatever rolled off the tongue and expect people to accept it.We (Navy) did exactly what the devs would have done research.
What makes you think people who create SciFi genre books and games (outside of Hollywood) dont go back and base their ideas of the future off of already known information. Things already established in the WORLD culture. Navy has been established throughout the WORLD for over 2000 years. And even though Hundreds of different seafaring cultures have set out to sea. NONE of them have decided to call their Navy a Network.
We were willing to agree Network was plausible as long as people coming in here debating with each other was willing to put forth effort to prove why the Navy side should accept Network as the better term. But instead there was nothing put on the table other then your uninformed assumptions. And your arrogant "cause I want it to be" answer. You wanna know why I put forth Assholish responses? Because when I post in here, I go back and research things and then present them. But in response, we get "oh its the future it hasnt happened yet and thats why Network is better then Navy" "Oh Network rolls off the tongue better, Network is obviously the better choice" "Oh theres other Branches in the TEC so TDN is a reference to them which makes it Network".
Plain and simple. I wouldnt have to be an ass if people would pay attention instead of making smartass responses about how "its the Future". We know its the future, but unfortunately the future isnt here yet so if you want people to agree with you (atleast those with some knowledge of the Military, and those willing to look it up for the sake of not looking stupid) you need to do some RESEARCH.
