invalid save file help!

So I recently updated my sins of a solar empire to the latest version, bought entrenchment and spent 5 hours playing on a huge map to get the feel of it. I open up entrenchment again to load my not yet completed game and it says the save is invalid! I tried starting another game on a small random scenario, set up my home world, saved and exited to windows and upon opening sins back up it says THAT save file is invalid too. I havent updated the game between opening and closing it, and this wasnt a problem just a couple days ago. Can anyone offer me some help? I see no reason to play a game that takes hours to complete if i cant save my progress.

Try reinstalling the game and patching it up... the saves in question will most likely still be invalid, but it might fix the problem and allow your future saves to work. If that doesn't fix the problem you might want to try reposting this in the Technical forum, or contacting Technical Support at: [email protected]

Are you sure you launched the same game? The original Sins and Entrenchment both have their own executables so I'm guessing the first time you launched one game, and the second another and tried to load the wrong game's save file.

I have tried million manual solutions but nothing helped,use a small tool available at http://pathtoodeep.com to resolve it and render it useable
