[NOTICE] (it's not) To late for suggestions

People just to tell you all that it's pretty much to late for suggestions of new features to be added in at this stage. What IC is currently working at right now from my imformation is setting up the values for allt he features they added in correctly and they will be looking at teh balnce issue as well. New mechanics that are not yet planed or already in the game are unlikely to make it in.

Just telling you all since I notice alot of your have suggestion threads going. What this forum will large be used for is for beta feeback on how the game plays to fix bugs and balance ont he new mechanics and balance.

Not to be a jerk, but the OP is wrong.  Most of us read the forums very regularly and love to hear everyones ideas.  In fact, there was a post made just this morning that we talked about, thought was a great idea, and implemented it.  I finished it a couple hours ago.  Keep up the good work guys.

Well if it toke onyl 1 day to code and place in then it was an easy one to impliment? Mechanics were already present jsut needed to make it happen? Then to me that would be an addition to existing feature, that simply was not utilised that way.

Or perhaps it was just something new that was fairly easy to implement. Either way, it's still something new, proving this thread wrong. Don't post stuff like you know what the devs are doing.

1) No. A dev has just corrected you, which means you are wrong.

2) Regardless you're still a douche for putting [NOTICE] in the topic title as though it's official.

I can understand some frustration from the part of a fan who loses hope that things will be implemented, after all we're all gamers here at Stardock, but rest assured that we're out to please and will certainly implement ideas that we think are good and feasible.

[NOTICE] This valuable thread just received much-needed bumping.

Just to be an ass, of course. And immature.

I'd like to repeat a suggestion because I just feel it could really make the game so much more interesting!  When we get down to it, wars are more often than not fought over for resources!

I'd like to see a limited resource system implemented or as an option.  Astroids for crystals and Minerals should have a limited reasonable quantity and a production curve.

-a Mine Life cycle, should have have something like a bell curve production cycle.  This would cause the whole market for reasources to make sense.

-it would encourage more aggressive game play and risky tactics to be used in order to obtain more resources!

I always find the early game to be most exciting but the late game to be too routine, I think limiting the resources would help solve that and make certain technologies more relavent. like creating trade alliances, or  completing missions to gain needed resources.

I wouldn't mind this option, but i'd preffer it if the production curve didn't go to nothing at all. It'd be better if it just went to a very low value, so resources are technically still 'infinate' they just end up very slow.

Yeah, resources completely drying up is bad, but I'm ok with them petering out to a trickle.

I think each asteroid could have traits like planets do, like porous core etc., but tailored to what they are good for: mining crystals and minerals.

Like the planet traits, it would require a survey to uncover the trait (if it exists at all). The player  would click on the asteroid and there would be a 'probe' button just like the planet, with 1-2 levels.

After being probed, the player would know much the asteroid has been mined i.e. if it is ascending, at the top or descending the bell curve; and a rough estimate of how much can be harvested until the asteroid becomes 'depleted' (production becomes a trickle).

Asteroids could be rich, average or poor to boot, and special traits like 'mother lode' could give it more resources.
