Beta in a couple days?

I just noticed this morning that the payment for Elemental is pending in my bank account.  Has anyone else noticed this in their accounts?  When I perordered it said I wouldn't be charged until the beta or game was released.  Does this mean only a couple more days before beta starts?  I HOPE SO!!  :thumbsup:

Hope so.  My registration Elemental is no longer in my list.  I'm going to assume its because they are activating everything.

If it is not indiscreet.. when did you make the pre-order?. I did it in november.

You'll get a hold on your account when you place your order regardless. Policies vary from bank to bank on how long they hold them, some only go for a day, while others will hold indefinitely. It really doesn't have anything to do with when the charge will actually go through, and it'll be charged even if the hold has since dropped.

That having been said, for those not in IRC we're looking at tomorrow for the beta.

They live GMT-4 atm (it being daylight saving time) so that's 6 hours before Holland :)

If Demigod and Gal Civ II's expansions serve as precedent (in my personal experience), you won't have any problems. Just make sure you have money there! 8O

@anybody at stardock. I'd just like to know if the beta will be released around a time that we europeans would call late in the evening. Which starts around 4 in the afternoon from your (stardock's) perspective.

Never a FRIDAY - something goes wrong poeple work over the weekend.

Rarely a MONDAY - people are too tired from working on the weekend.

THURSDAYS is the golden day.

This is normal. don't expect the funds to show back in your account for up to 30 days.

Glad I read this thread again.  w00t.  Of course now I'll have to stay up when I get home, eat breakfast, get the mail (A hotplate!) and wait for the beta to open up..so I can download it..look around for a minute at the map and not be able to do anything, and then go to sleep.  Sadly no sarcasm was used in the making of this thread.

I'm not sure, but I don't have Elemental on the registration list.  I see the beta outline and schedule...woohoow!  NICE.
