[Suggestion] Allow for up to 14 players, 7v7

I propose a simple modification to allow players to set up games with up to 14 people--7v7 games.  Many times, I've seen games that were filled with 10 players with other players in the chat channel asking to get in.  Adding this might help sell the expansion to the online multiplayer crowd.  All we would need is one huge single star random map that could accommodate 14 players.

or... 8v8 or 10v10 or 20v20 or 100v100...

I am sure there is an issue with a limit on the maximum number of ships the game can keep track off, not to mention... freaking lag... and trying to render all that shizznits... hell, a 5v5 with all 10 fleets duking it out in the same system is barely playable (on my pathetic computer)...

however... it will have been about 2 years... computer power would have about doubled... so doubling the max players... might be ok.

My bet would be that there is a hard-coded maximum of 16 players, and some of those players are reserved for militia and pirates.  Without knowing what's under the hood, it's impossible to know whether this is in fact a simple modification.  If it is viable, I'd be interested in seeing some larger settings become available.

I think Pb heas a point.

Upping the player count would only lead to someone saying "I wish they would allow 18 players per game for a 9v9!  I want to get in that game."

From what I know, 16 would be the maximum supportable players over the Internet as this is the maximum number of connections the TCP/IP protocol can support.
