I look forward to this version!

Is this update out yet? I have not seen any updates in Impulse. I assume that it is awaiting a push to the servers, and it's not an individual issue for me.

Yes, this has been published.

Well, I've yet to see this update in my Impulse. Bug?

If you don't see the update, please uninstall and reinstall.  We had to monkey with the version (the BETA version should be 0.98 not 1.00) as one of the bugs.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, I followed this advice, but now get the following error when trying to log in:

I also didn't have a new version show up because my previous beta version was v1.0.  You might want to push this beta version as v.108 or very few people are likely to update.

Logon works if username, password and auto sign in are left unchecked.

Logon works if username, password and auto sign in are left unchecked.

Verified as a workaround. Also, after I logged in once with all of those boxes unchecked, I could then quit the program, check the boxes, and log in without an error.

It would appear that uninstalling RtP does not properly remove certain configuration files that save login information, as that would explain why the program throws an error if the user tries to save profile information after uninstalling and reinstalling.

Thank you for brining this to our attention.  We cannot reproduce this internally.  Can someone please post the steps to reproduce?

Yup that seems to work.

Steps:

1) install beta 1.0

2)  Put in login info and have all buttons checked

3) uninstall beta 1.0

4)  install new beta .098

5)  Start RtP (all checked boxes are still checked and username and pass is present from previous install), then you get error.

Just got the email for RTP and got it setup. Nice app guys!

Did i read somewhere that voice chat was going to be implemented through RTP at some point?> If not has this been or is it under consideration?

The chat with folks on your friends list is pretty good, much better than the the PM's inside DG.

And no i had no issue installing, of course i only got the serial today.

Feature Request - Unless i have missed it but how about being able to minimize to the notification area without having RTP in the taskbar? An option like "Clicking X minimizes RTP to Notification area" then just right clicking notification icon to exit?

Nvm...found similar thread answering question. ;)

We are going to remain silent on this one for now.  Pun intended.

I'm bringing my system back online after a hardware replacement/upgrade, including a new OS install (7 RC 7100).  Installing Impulse Client for the first time, and I happened to pick Ready To Play as the first 'game' to install.  The result was an error, and I believe it's because I had no games installed and run prior to trying to install and run Ready To Play.  I say this because the error message indicates it's not finding:

C:\Users\[MyLogon]\AppData\Local\Stardock

Which, in fact, currently does not exist.

The full error text is:

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\[MyLogon]\AppData\Local\Stardock'.
   at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFileDirectoryNames(String path, String userPathOriginal, String searchPattern, Boolean includeFiles, Boolean includeDirs, SearchOption searchOption)
at System.IO.Directory.GetDirectories(String path, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption)
   at ReadyToPlay.App.RemoveApplicationSettings()
   at ReadyToPlay.App.Application_Startup(Object sender, StartupEventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Application.OnStartup(StartupEventArgs e)
   at System.Windows.Application.<.ctor>b__0(Object unused)

We have regression on the problem introduced in Reply #6.

Same error, although this time I didn't need to uninstall RtP before updating (it found the update, installed it, but now I cannot log in regardless of what boxes I check at the login screen). However, if I uninstall RtP and then reinstall it, I am able to log in.

So, to summarize:

Updating to today's build from the latest build resulted in "Error: [empty]" when attempting to log in. Uninstalling and reinstalling resolves the issue. Not a major issue, as beta builds often don't update smoothly, but I feel it is worth mentioning.

Hi,

Yea, we fixed that issue.  It is an interoperability issue between RTP and our Impulse services.  We are adding more error codes and hopefully will be able to track it down next time it happens.

I was getting a crash on launch after this update. Windows gave me the "ReadytoPlay has stopped working" box and I was unable to launch. Uninstalling and reinstalling has resolved this issue.
