Impulse get's a bit of an update.

Does said update include 1.2 for demigod?  If not its a *meh* whatever thing to me

There is a good chance it will, but it includes ReadyToPlay.

one might presume that there is a chicken and egg situation with some of the 1.2 features, i'm told (via irc) that the modding part is sorted and they are happy with it, so i guess its the replay stuff holding it up.

I think there will be a small update before 1.2   Just my 2 cents.

v1.2 is in internal beta right now.

Can you please state what will be in v1.2?  As of right now I feel very uninformed and have currently stopped playing DG because I can play other games in the time that I have (where DG takes longer to get into a game and has bugs that annoy me).  What I want to know is a definitive date and what the content will be.

There is no definitive date. As for it's content, there is a journal by Frogboy listing some (may not be all, or even the final list) of the 1.2 features.

 I don't know about 1.2, but it should come when its perceived as done.

 However I know quite a few players who would be keen to check out how the new demigods play. Having them all back in the game, at the same time as the sale bringing in new players, as well as community/matchmaking feautres to get them friending and playing with each other?

1.2 would be icing on the cake.

YES!!!

Not sure what the link tells me... its the dev journal that contains the link I provided a few posts up.  I've already signed up for the beta.  Just trying to find out if September 9th actually means something.  Anything actually getting released today?  Still can't download ready to play through the download link.  The information there also indicates that "Ready to Play will be available for a public download in the Fall of 2009."
