What terrifies Mr. Microsoft or......

Obsolete Windows

Checking my e-mail a few minutes ago I ran across an ad that asks the question...What Terrifies Bill Gates? So I click on it and I'm routed to a page that requires you to enter your e-mail for quotes on this Japanese stock up and coming. The ad goes on to say that 72% of Japanese are using this technology (I'm assuming a different OS?) who knows...anyway it further states that it will replace MS Windows. I didn't enter my e-mail...I get enough junk as it is. Who among us normal folks believe that an American Icon (??) like Windows will ever be supplanted? I mean...after all there are a few chasing that dog's tail...lol

Why would I want another OS when I can have so much fun constantly fixing, re-installing and protecting the one I already have?:S

What terrifies Mr. Microsoft
End of quote

Steve Jobs... Steve Jobs inviting himself for dinner... Steve Jobs inviting him for dinner... Steve Jobs talking shop and possible law suits regarding stolen Apple technologies appearing in Windows.... Steve Jobs peeling off his turtleneck sweater and asking for a neck massage... Steve Jobs showing him documents proving they are related after all, and wanting 'in' on MS for old family ties sake.

Other than that, he might be aracnophobic and can't sleep at night for the spiders Mrs. Microsoft keeps in a jar beside the bed... cos it wouldn't be Linux; Unix; Appleix or Laxetix.

Wait until Jesse J. sees that one.  Blatant racism.  I think we should all grab our kielbasas' and run through the streets of Redmond.

Divest your Kielbasa futures, folks.

That really sucks. How obnoxious and hurtful. Too bad someone doesn't give it to them in the neck. They richly deserve it.

Ouch!

They could use a little diversity training.

I don't need diversity training... I'm a mongrel with Viking, Anglo Saxon, Celtic and Norman with a smattering of Moorish blood.  Seems the only bits I missed out on was a bit of Asian and Aborigine... but like any mongrel, I have no prejudices and will pee on any lamp post.

:-"

On a more serious note. In an ever shrinking world of multi-culturalism where inter-racial marriages/unions are common place, I find it ridiculous that multi-national companies still go to such extremes for the sake of 'image'.  Racial prejudices have existed since the beginning of time, largely due to the ignorance of one another, but in this day and age there is no logical reason and 'ignorance' is not an excuse.

I could not agree more. Think about this...two thousand years ago there was no such thing as racial in-equality. Everyone was considered inferior. Back in the day it made hardly any difference if you were white black red blue or anywhere in between. Our human race is incontrovertible proof! that skin color makes no damn difference. Greed and a misconception that one 'race' is better than another is ludicrous at best. Want more proof...Africa...Oldavai Gorge...500.000 years ago the first Homo-Sapiens to emerge onto the world scene were black...Afro-Americans didn't exist yet...they were the 'FIRST' humans. The archeological record does not lie.

At any rate...instead of mongrel why not a Heinz 57? Remember the catsup commercial? (I always thought it was spelled Katchup...lol). Whoever called it catsup should be dipped in CC gas. Is it cat-sup or cats-up. Either one seems a bit....yucky poo!

No, the records don't lie... we all come from the same pool, which is why mankind should be more tolerant... the person(s) he racially scorns is his brother/sister and of the same race... the human race.

Yup, I remember...'cept we call it tomato sauce in Oz.  Our forefathers couldn't spell ketchup and sauce stuck.

As for being a Heinz 57, well yeah, reminds me of the pizza dog I once had... he had a pizza this and a pizza that in him. :-"

It also reminds me of when I first arrived from the UK and frequently got called a Pommie Bastard... when a lass of interest was in listening range I'd ask about her heritage: "Got any Pommie in yer?"

If the answer was "no" I'd then ask: "D'yer want some?" :-" :X

Anyway, back to what terrifies Mr Microsoft.  Me thinks an announcement from Steve Jobs that OS-X will be released in an edition which installs easily on standard PC hardware would scare the crap out of him.  It ain't likely anytime soon, but I'd love to be around to watch MS go to panic stations... into damage control with cut price OSes and Office, etc.  It'd be a win win situation for the consumer... so c'mon, Mr Smug... make the announcement... SOON.

:-"
