Which software do people normally use to generate the Icon designs? Please

Is what i use, there are other apps ofc, google and you shall find.
Not really, if you are going to use the logos in different place, I would recommend Illustrator or even CorelDraw, if you use vector graphics, you could resize the logo with out pixelating (just try resizing any regular photo and you see what I mean)
Really, any image editor or illustration software will do the trick.
CorelDRAW and Photoshop with IconDeveloper are the most popular ones that people use.
Of course you can also use Paint Shop Pro.
