Please post info about your system...so we can try to help.

Along with what Doc asked, what style of docks, zoomer or tabbed?

It will make a difference also what the docks have to load up, program wise, that may be effecting how quickly they open,  Closeing of the docks should go quickly.

My system: AMD LE-1640 2.61GHz, 2GB Ram, ATI 512MB Radeon HD

When my system is loaded for the first everything works fine, my tabs are shown very quick and closed quick but when I go on tabs the second time everything works very slow (open tabs), closed are very quick. In sistem tray is nothing special: spyboot, online armor and avast.If i close these three is nothing better.

Pls help, I really need this superb program.

Do you have any links to folders that either have a lot of files or are on a server?

I would look at the "contents" of your docks and try removing docklets to see if any are giving you problems.

nothing like this, on my older comp everything worked so fine, the same configuration

is it any chance to get dock to open faster

only the first goes fast and then the second works very very slow (move with mouse)

what should i do? Wait to version 2.0 or go to search for another program, Objectdock is the best for me

Since you said it worked fine on your old computer, do have docklets on the new computer that were not on your old computer?

I made a new dock with only a few icons on my disc c:, everything is the same. Objectdock works much better on my older machine.

Tabbed dock needs 4 sec to show, closed is a less in a 1 sec. I dont know what should I do.

yes, it is spybot s&d, i turned off - it s the same

Might help:

Go into ObjectDock config/Appearance section.

Make sure slider underneath "Background" is set all the way to the right on "Opaque".

Also might want to make sure the video drivers on the new machine are current.

I don't think so, unless I've done it accidentally. (ATI here as well, and an old one at that).

Make sure in OD config / General / "Performance Options" button you have "Optimize for performace" selected.

Also, try unloading Object Dock (right-click on OD systray icon) and re-starting it, see if after re-starting it works right.

Are you running any other graphics-intensive software at any point that might fight with it (Dvd players, videos, software aquariums, games, ATI MMC stuff)?

Is the dock trying to open up on top of any other graphics object (Sysmetrix objects, DTX objects)?

nothing like this, i made a new dock with empty sistem tray, no antivirus, no spyware programs and nothing working in the background

but the problem is still the same

does anybody know when can i get any technical support

I think i will uninstal this peace of brilliant software and try to find something else (i dont know what)

Everything on my new comp works fine even 3d programs and games  only Objectdock is not going anywhere

My OD started doing this at the reboot after installing the new Beta of deskscapes but then the later version fixed it again. OD was taking 15 seconds to initialize after rest of boot programs had finished.

Make sure to have the latest DX9

Sounds like you need to adjust your mouseover speed.

Nothnig of these not worked for me. I am lost, but i think i will make my new desktop with Rocketdock and True launch bar.

I am qiuting my obejctdock after a four years. Very good program but not working on my new comp. I dont have time and energy to

wait for solution. I wrote to support but not received any answer so far.

Boy, it seems like if it worked on your last computer, and it works for many many other people, then maybe, just maybe it's something in your new computer's settings. Ya think?

As stated above, right now, it's the weekend. Support won't be back in the office 'till Monday the 24th. Be patient 'till then.

same thing happened to me on 2 different PCs.

Dont get me wrong. Objectdock is the best program to change the usage of Windows. Actually all you need  (my opinion) is TotalCMD and Objectdock (no Vista, No 7 or even no Mac). I was a little disapponted when on my new comp and 22inch monitor OD works very slow. So I decided to go to look for another program like OD. I was awake all night and test it. TLB is no good at all  (if you used to OD), Rocketdock is good but the system settings are to complicated and take to much time to set.

So I am back at OD (the one and only). I closed all tabbed docks. In my docklet i put Stackdocklets. I think that works a litter faster (worst than on my older comp).

I hope the new OD 2.0 will work better for me or i wll find the solution or i will got the solution from support.
