Just a breif synopsis on how I think Rook should be played.

Sparingly. I have seen far too many people go BLITZKRIIIIIIIIIEG and think they'll walk away from it. Sure, you may have more HP, sure, you may have Hammerslam, but honestly, can't people work out that he's short range? You have to wait for them to come to you, and then from there on, you have to play it well. Stun them, slam them, and hopefully either finish them or have an ally around/general's minions around to facepwn the rest of his HP in the ground.

Or at least Blitzkrieg WELL. Why can't people learn this simple rule?

Random Rook thread FTW.
Nos on-topic, the fault goes to his design, people see a big moving tower and they think they can out last every obstacle, you jsut have to learn he is a big moving tower that was made on a low budget, it crumbles easly.

Yet another post describing why playing with noobs sucks.

I still don't get why people have such a hard time learning this game. The whole "everyone was a noob once" arguement isn't really valid. I played this game for a week single player mode and read the forums that same week. When I got into the online play I actually was better than 80% of the people I met. If I can pick up this game and figure it out, anyone can. Yet day after day I get into online play with players who seem like they know NOTHING about playing the game.

So yea, it's a given people will suck with rook. They more than likely suck at every other character as well.

Its because 90% of all people jump directly into multi without any singleplayer work.

Qft. But really, if you just read the forums for a week while playing SP and learning the Demis, you'll be fine, at least compared to a lot of people.
