Frogboy posted just a couple days ago that depending on the weather at his vacation spot could move alpha a day or two either way. Still, this is a promising sign!

Remember, the lucky few wont be playing E:WOM...they'll be playing a *very* rough, *very* early build of *some* of the eventual features, and it will be more like work than play, with the focus being on *testing*, not fun.

Yes, I asked Boogie about it on IRC a little while ago.
You need to have it preordered to be eligible, but the alpha is only going to have about 100 people in it. Everyone will get in for beta in September, though.
I look forward to hi-res MoM as well, though I suspect we'll have to wait longer than just 7 days for that. (or a month, because MoM =/= E:WoM) I hope that Elemental will fill MoM's shoes as much if not more than anybody else, but let us not make the mistake that they are going to be the same pair of feet.
The typical mom of someone old enough to be posting here isn't the kinda woman you want to be looking at high resolution images of.

So, have the emails giving said 100 people access already gone out or will that happen on the day the alpha version is ready?
Very good question... and what happens if 5 people of the selected 100 people don't participate in the Alpha... will another 5 be selected?
