Because I bought the game online and did not get a manual

from Demigod Forums

How do you precisely gain favour points ?

Once you have bought a favor item to one of your demigods, can you change it ? will you loose the points invested if you do so ?

What happens if I'm an "assassin" demi god, and get gears with +whatever to minions ? those bonuses are lost ?

A minion is a general-summoned-only unit right ? They are different from "reinforcement" right ?

How does the citadel level up ?

Are there some kind of bonuses (+% mvt speed or +% atk speed) that are not added when you get several items with the same type of bonus ?

Gain favor by completing games. The more awards you get at the end of the game the more points you get.

You can't change it in game to another item, and you can't resell it, but you can take it again in subsequent games without having to spend points again.

Gain War Rank. This is done by capping and holding flags, killing reinforcements, killing enemy DGs, spawning reinforcements...and probably more stuff too. Basically hold flags to gain war rank and your citadel will level up accordingly.

Most if not all of them stack, but things in the game apply a buff (it will have an icon above your health) which won't stack. The % bonus to move and attack speed both stack in all cases I know of.

Yeah, and I also think that the +% is modified by the base stats and not of stats increased by other items.

Example:
Base movement speed: 6.0
2x an Item that increases 10% movement speed (0,6 per item)

Will be
0,6 + 0,6 + 6,0 = 7,2 movement speed

and not
6,0 * 1,1 * 1,1 =  7,26
(here the 1,1 stands for an increasement of 10%)

 

At low rates this doesn't do a lot of difference, however if there would be +100% increasing items, it would differ more :)

Here's some additional information regarding favor.

Single Player:  In SP, you keep and can use all of the favor you earn as displayed at the end game summary.  The amount of favor you have is directly linked to C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod\game.prefs.  If you delete that file, you lose your single player favor.

Multiplayer:  In MP, you do not always get the favor that you receive in the end game summary.  There are several rules that apply.  If you play a game online against AI (regardless of how many humans are on your team), you won't receive favor.  I believe you can still get favor in games likes those due to unlocking achievements though.  In MP, there is no local file that stores your favor... all that info appears to be stored serverside.
