Asus Essentio CG5290-BP007, Worth it?

Hi again everyone, i had previously posted a question regarding a Gateway LX6810 desktop if it was worth the money and the reply was a overwhelming no and that i should build my own PC. (Which im still in the process of working out). While i was searching the web for parts i came across another PC that i felt should be brought before everyone to judge and decide if it is worth the money.

ASUS CG5290-BP007

Here are some of the details:

Intel i7 processor (2.66)

Nvidia GTX260

9GB DDR3

1TB HDD

Free Windows 7 Upgrade

looks like a cecent machine however: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/cart/showcart.asp?url=%2Fsystem%2FMega%5FInfinity%5F6000%5FLightning%2Fdetail&ref=add     this comp is just a tad more and if you edit it and take a few things off it will be the same system but cheaper and its cool looking to boot....otherwise i think the system you chose is good...but just take a look at that one...i added a few thing like a 12 in 1 media card reader, pro wiring and wire management and a fan controller and temperature guage...the graphics card is 1 step lower than the gtx260 in the system you chose but the system i built has 12 gigs of ram and a very upgradable mother board....just check it out but if you want the system you chose i say its decent...just not quite as pretty or upgradable:grin:   good luck friend and happy shopping...i love computer shopping

Well that paticular PC is quite out of my range budget wise anyway, but recently Bestbuy has updated their site with a ton of new PCS, Quads and such and wanted to see what they had, They even have a Q9300 Quad model and a HP i7 model which as blueray but its so-so in my opinion.

I do have quite a bit of reward coupons stocked up which i could use if i bought a PC from best buy but i was planning to save it for a new TV. (Looking at that new Samsung LED, yes i know its pricey but my budget for TV's is much more than for a PC haha)

The thing I dislike most about store bought PC's is that your trapped if you ever want to reformat. Even if your lucky and it comes with CD's you are never free from their OEM installed crap unless you go out and purchase Windows XP , Vista, or 7 seperately. When you get an update CD for WI 7 they will most likely just add more crap to that.
