Demigod: 2 legit edition

I'm glad I'm of an age where limiting my gaming pleasure is a non issue. What I am sadden by is how different I've seen the dota vs demigod community treat new players, ie: me. I'm not arguing the merits of which game is better, I have a blast on both (when I'm not being bashed) but what I have seen is a much warmer and more welcoming community here. It's amazing that at a tender age of 33 I have to sit there and belittled by kids less than 1/2 my age, raging and saying the most obscene, racist and sexist with intentions of malice I've ever seen. I have a dream... anyway it's cool to find such a cool community.

That's what led me to ultimately buying the game in conjunction with stardocks main focus on the game and not how to treat their consumers as theives. I'm glad this game turned out to be out when I was still under the impression it was still in development. I will be honest, I did download a copy of Demigod, and there were all these 1/2 ass ways to play online but they were cumbersome and overly complicated, more than it neede to be imo. Then I read about the CEO of Stardock and his approach towards his customer ideology and it gave me such a good impression of the company that I actually felt guilty about "pirating the game". So I went down to gamestop, picked up a copy and walked away happy that I was going to finally play the game the way it was meant to be played. Up to date, easily and online.

Great game guys, looking forward to seeing more content updates.

I too love the way SD treats its customers.  just goes to show that if you treat your customers well and make a quality product, people will WANT to buy it.

To the OP, welcome to demigod, yep there is a stark difference between the DoTA community and Demigod community, partly because Demigod isn't currently as popular as DoTA so the riff raff is on a smaller scale, partly because the new gamers are socially inept awkward muppets so they stick with something for 20years before they try something different.

And partly because there may be seasoned trolls around to get rid of said  muppets

Once you settle down with a family limiting game time is a non issue, this tends to happen at around 30 :P

Agreed, though I do think DG needs a marketting push, and pantheon needs tuning up a bit =/
