Being an Indiana resident who isn't a huge sports fan, I felt the an amazing sense of team pride when that brawl erupted during the Indiana Vs. Detroit basketball game. It made watching basketball pretty entertaining, at least for a few minutes.
What I am amazed at however, is the absolute crybaby PC bullshit that happened after this. I guess what got to me was when I heard one of the coaches talk about how he believes that they are role models. The entire idiotic notion that because you play sports you have to be a role model is completely fucking stupid. Just because kids watch these guys do what there getting overpaid to do they all have to act a certain way so not to encourage a child to act like them? Why must everything be catered to kids? It’s fucking ridiculous.
The entire kids things is just an excuse for people to censor crap or make people act a certain way, and the saddest part is that the bullshit works. Kids are not so stupid that the imitate everything they see, Not all of them anyway. the ones that are are what used to be called “retarded”, but are now referred to has “slow”. If that. Just because some kids are morons that imitate everything they see because they have been taught not to think for themselves no one can see it? Same thing with language, and if you remember the last Super Bowl, boobies too.
