I've just applied a desktop x theme and the wallpaper dissapered. It looks like it is around the task bar, but will not show up on screen. If I try to apply another wallpaper it does not show on screen, just around edge of task bar. Please help, it,s driving me crazy. Never had this happen before. Thanks!!
do you have your desktop icons hidden?
are you using IconX, SVD, or Fences?
No to both questions, thanks for your help. I can unload desktop x and still have the problem.
if XP, try:
right click desktop > properties > desktop tab > see if the wall is showing there, if so click the one above, then click the wall wanted and click apply
also check - right click desktop > properties > desktop tab > customize desktop > web - makes sure nothing is set and web items not locked - if not checked, check it - uncheck it, okay
i have a similar problem... i applied a visual style on windows blinds, and all my desktop icons have disappeared. now the only way i can get em back is to click on show desktop, but then my sidebar disappears, and my icons disappear again if i click on any other window or anything... how do i get them back together?...
