This country needs to get back to the principles of hard work equals a good days pay... instead of Im poor, I'm entitled to someone else supplementing my existence.

When I went to Israel, I knew 2 words of Hebrew and couldn't read it nor write it. My dad was Protestant, anf my mom Jewish. I never really 'chose' because I didn't wish to seem to reject one of them until my dad told me he didn't really believe...so, after college I went to Israel...I figured I earned it working thru school and a full scholarship- room, board and tuition. So, I went and learned. Two days short of a year there I was drafted. Became an officer and interviewed for med school. Made a diagnosis...was right and got in. Wasn't easy, but learned to speak, read and write as well as a native born more or less.

When I came back (dad got sick) I was treated like a second class citizen (medically). Proved myself all over again.Looks like your hard work paid off.  You earned where you are now.

Thank you...Xiandi...I think the same about you and your skills and dedication to your art. Just looking at what you accomplish is a thrill for me.   :inlove:

OK, let me elaborate. When my sister-in-law got divorced she couldn't keep up with all the credit card payments. They drove her nuts day after day, and one company actually came out and took the kids bicycles!
Thats poor money management. No offense but if she couldn't afford the bicycles then they should not have had any. I'm not for bailing out any individual that lived beyond their means.

Oh, she HAD the means.....until she got divorced. He didn't pay any of the bills that they made TOGETHER. He just left! Went to work in the coal mines of Virginia.

You can't MANAGE money you no longer have!

Sounds like she should have traded the bikes for a gun MG. ;P I hear the mines aren't very healthy so maybe she'll get some payback in a different way. :)

Strange you should say that. He was moving a house trailer through the mountains there and it got stuck on a curve and when he tried to dislodge it, it tumbled over.

On him.

Squish.

Karma for him, and not the good kind!

hmmm, think about this.

Hypothetically McCain won the election.

He puts his tax cuts into action permanently. This only leads to a quicker downfall of our economic system. People don't have money to spend so busineses keep laying off.

We still have troops entrenching in Iraq , afghanistan, and possibly action commencing with N. Korea.

The pressure has gotten to him as it has Obama only he is very old and he is worn down to a state where he is longer competent.

Palin is now acting President.

Was he ever?

What more proof does anyone need?  The running mate from Hell, and why McCain didn't get the vote. :-"

Oh, come on, Starkers.  This is not the first time in history a presidential candidate was clueless and let his little head do the thinking for him, and the conservative party doesn't hold a monopoly on that fault.  Of all the reasons I disliked McCain, choosing Palin as a running mate, isn't one of them.  As a matter of fact, I think it made him more likable in my eyes.  It sure made things easy on comedians during the election, and anything that gets me to laugh is a good thing in my book.

You really think that is why he picked Palin?  He was told to pick Palin (by the Pentaverate) so Obummer had an even better shot at getting in. ;)

Well it's a well know fact, sonny Jim, that there's a group of the five wealthiest people in the world known as the pentaverate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers. And meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion known as, the Meadows.

So who's in this pentaverate?

The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettes, The Rothchilds and Col. Sanders before he went tets up. Oh, I hated the Col. with his wee beady eyes, and that smug look on his face, Oh your gonna buy my chicken, Oohh.

Dad, how can you hate, the Col.?

Because he puts an addictive chemical in his chicken that makes you crave for it nightly, smartass!

I wonder what tax you guys are paying to be complaining for :D You have to be making real money to be complaining about tax

I don't think (SKINNERS) make more $250,000 a year. I meant $250 from selling skins before taxes. People can't find jobs due to lack of education, now they're blaming THE MAN.

Stop bla bla bla and go get an education

 Ever heard of a period?

An educated person can put a sentence together without oddly placed parenthesis.

What's with the caps? Do you have a neurological disorder?

Ah, so that's why he found it difficult to put a coherent sentence together and 'dribbled' some (a lot) during the election campaign... his big head was taking instructions from his little head?

It sure made things easy on comedians during the election, and anything that gets me to laugh is a good thing in my book.

Yeah, that's about the strength of it. Politicians are comedian fodder and fair game, so why not have a laugh at their expense. Personally, I had a ball during the last US election... Sarah Palin was a constant source of amusement and provided ample joke opportunities. The 'bridge to nowhere' and "I can see Russia from my bedroom window" were classic comedian fodder, and I wasn't backward in coming forward there.

:-" :w00t: ;P

While it's true I didn't fancy her as VP (I thought she was/is too scatter-brained to wield that much power if McCain became incapacitated or died in office), I didn't dislike her as a person and pretty much everything I said (as above) was done with tongue-in-cheek, which is why I left McCain's war record/POW status alone.  While others were taking pot shots, it was off limits for me... war is ugly and nobody should ever be a POW.  Politicians may be fair game, but some things should never be made a joke of, and that was one of them.
