Hey all! Here is survey 3, I just ahve a hard time waiting for Friday! lol, I guess it is the weekly Thursday survey (Now you will get them on Wednesday evenings!) Just kidding. Hey Thursday is pretty cool seeing as how Alpha is planned for a Thursday launch! In just two weeks! WOOT!

Thanks to the contributors who provided questions for this weeks survey. I threw in a couple of my own at the end, sorry I was a lazy bum this week letting you guys do all the hard work of coming up with questions! There are some good ones!

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=r_2bVqpq8cm29uWKL3f1v_2bpg_3d_3d

As always, I will post results when we have a good solid sample and it has gone several hours without an update. Likely Sunday! Hope you enjoy!

I blame myself - I expected more community involvement and really didn't think anything up, and added the few questions I did as afterthoughts. I really thought there would be more involvement.:'(

But thanks to those that did submit, I thought they were good questions!

Taken.

But question 1 could really have had a "Don't Care" or "Not sure" option. I haven't ever done much in the way of modding games, so I don't really know; and I doubt I'll get into heavily modding Elemental, either, so I don't really care - unless of course it affects the quality of other people's mods :P

And question 5: answers 1 and 3 seemed identical to me. In other words, in number 3 it said "6 elements" but described life as one element with two aspects" - making the total 5, not 6, the same as answer 1.

Posted as written by the submitters. O:)

Also, if there is ever a question that you don't care about, skipping it is functionally the same as adding a N/A option.

I'm actually really excited to see the results on this one.    (I mean, I was excited about the others, but it was a distant kind of interest.   This one however, because some of the questions are mine, as well as including general play style questions that I'm interested to see where the community sits, I'm on the edge of my seat this time)

I took the survey.

One ting though, on that first question there should be an answer ; I don't know.

I don't mod and I have no clue and I still had to rank them. So my answer is pretty meaningless.

Because the submitter, Scoutdog, wanted them to be ranked, adding "I don't know" as an option would have just given you 5 choices to rank instead of 4. I am pretty sure questions CAN be skipped.

:omg:  Someone wants to become inmortalized in the game...:P

I was expecting Denryu making many questions and then add some from the PMs and not that PMs were going to be main course. Still, not bad.

Well I was expecting ALL of the questions to be submitted, and I wouldn't have to come up with anything! ;P

(and seriously who DOESN'T want to be immortalized in a video game?)

Wintersong - do you have multiple personality disorder?

Having some problems posting results. You can see them here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yu_moia-oVI.

Some things to note: On questions 1 and 4 - on questions 1 a lower average rating indicates that it was more popular, the range was from 1 to 4. Lower is better. On question 4, the range was -2 (Hate), 0(Neutral) and +2(Love) so higher is better, and anything positive reflects a net "positive" opinion. Sorry for the confusion.

That I may keep one avatar for some time doesn't mean that in reality I'm not an avatarshifter by nature. And be glad that the user name remains the same...XD  Anyways, I'll keep changing avatars (one each day) until alpha comes and/or I find one that I really love. More probably the later.

OK amazingly, I am able to post the first batch of results now - 35 respondents.

My quoted caveats on questions 1 and 4 do apply.

Download3. Submitted by landisaurus - (Due to length of answers, they will be explained in the body of the question) If there are multiple maps in a single game, how should they be accessable. A. only through portals/stairs in very specific locations, allowing for the maps to be different sizes B. Through phasing, planer walking, and everything else (possible phasing units might exist on both planes at the same time); forcing the maps all to be the same size so things sync up C. Same as option B, except force units into one plane or the other, and have a scaling feature so the maps can be different sizes (phasing units may have a range of locations into which they come through when switching planes/going-underground) D. All of the Above, I love the idea of multiple maps but am unsure how to do it. I'd leave it to the devs because I don't know the complications of programing it. E. I vote against multiple maps

It looks like most people like the five or six element model. Interesting, I wonder what Brad actually has planned for the magic system in terms of distinct elements. I would also pose the question should Lightning be included under Wind / Air or should it be its own distinct elemental force? (I doubt this will change from whatever is planned but I'm curious about the community's thoughts on this subject.)

Well, to have lightening as its own element, you kind of need to have a counter-element. Any ideas?

Lightning could correlate to life element (just ask Dr. Frahnkensteen) and their could be a corresponding "dark bolt" or "death storm"...

Oh, the question was 3d GOGGLE support as in glasses... I thought it said 3d GOOGLE support and had no Idea what it was asking about..

Note, on the first question, lower number is better score for those of you that only read the end result.
