He did it a while back, but I always kept my mouth shut about it.  But then I see a thread where he's posting to blacklist other people?  The nerve!

He was in a game with me, JJ, and a ton of other people.  He mercilessly berated a newb in game (when the guy really did nothing wrong), then when the guy quit because he didn't want to be subjected to it anymore, p5yy laughed and joked about it in game.  Then he laughed and joked about it more in the lobby, bragging that he got some "newb" to quit.  I doubt anyone else remembers the incident (there are so many to remember), but I do.

I know this is some guy that is apparently "well respected" (cough) in the community.  I don't give a shit.  I saw his behavior.  I have steered clear of ANY game I've seen him in since.  There are a couple of class act clan-types, like JJ, Cykur, etc.  This guy ain't one of them.

Does he go by Achilles as well? I was just in a 5v5 a couple days ago, with JohnJames and several other people. Anyways, it took about half and hour to fill up. Then he booted one person with no record, saying he was a noob. Another person left out of (rightfully) being angry about this. Then Achilles further asked about 'why noobs ruin everything' or something around those lives. After I said that new people are needed to get games running, he started questioning my scores, which I'd assume was to boot me. Needless to say, the game lasted fifteen minutes, and by all means was disastrous after nearly an hour of waiting.

I'm not sure if it's the same person, but they sound similar. :(

Funny that you should write this, because I just finished posting on something similar:

I've seen this Achilles.  Not sure if it's the same person or not.  But at any rate, multiplayer is CHOCK FULL of assholes, and has been since day one.  Most people you will see or play with on ICO are assholes, plain and simple.  What you should do when you run into them is remember their names, write them down, etc. like I do.  Then simply make sure to never play with them again.  Thing is, your list will be so long after a while that you'll never be able to get a game.

It's like these assholes just want a small private club for themselves to play in, and nobody else.  Well I say give it to them.  I'd just  form my own non-competitive clan of "non-assholes" to play with (anyone who got in would be guaranteed to be able to play with other non-assholes, and all that would be required to get in would be to prove through game play that you are a non-asshole), but there is simply not enough people online to form such a thing.  The asshole clique has already ruined MP.

Agent of Kharma--go for it.  There's no reason why ICO cannot be user-regulated.  Form a club.  Everyone in the club would be required to have a separate user name (one of their five allotted) for the club.  Club accounts could only allow members of the club onto the Friends list and members would have all of the other members on their Friends list and in that way could host freinds only games.  The member/friends list could be updated periodically as needed by private email.

has anyone else been getting mini-dumps whenever they go on ICO recently?

That was pretty much my exact idea.  My current impression is that the community just isn't big enough to support this (do you think it is?), but if it was big enough I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Blacklist updated.

Also , please this thread is strictly for reporting those who dont quit  so if you got pointless drama to post , please make a seperate thread.

thankyou!!!

I think you could do it but it would require a large amount of effort and organizing on your part and then you'd have to deal with issues such as whether or not so-and-so's behavior warrants being kicked out of the club, etc.  If it were me, I wouldn't want those kinds of headaches.  If you've never organized anything like that before then go for it--just for the benefit of gaining the experience of having tried to organize something like that.

Please escalate chose to more than 2 games as he has repeatedly come up with lame excuses at the end of games where is the lone remaining opponent on his team.  Like this last game tonight where he was the last of 5, and he claimed, "my mouse is locked up and I can't quit the game".  Even though when we get to his homeworld he has an elaborate defensive grid that included a fully maxed sb, a veritable shitload of mines, and maxed hanger bays.  It was clear that he was directing the action of his fighters as they would change targets and hold position over different locations.  And ship directive lines were changing like mad.

Took another hour at least, and we could have played another game by then.

Point is, he has an incessant habit of doing crap like this when his team starts losing.  He deserves a whole new thread by himself.  Call it the Lying Sack of Shit Cheesedick Behavior thread.

Achilles is Caius and has been acting like a complete jackass worse than normal lately.  There is actually a post trying to get him banned altogether.

It is him, huh. I'll play a round with virtually anyone, but he was just too rude to warrant another game with, not to sound rude.

<Edit> Post retracted by author.  I've decided that this particular refusal to quit isn't worth noting.

[P5yy]The problem isnt ethical , its logistical. If a player quits..the AI takes over. For his teammates this is good,...as it means atleast the cpu is using the most of the players resourcesFor surrendering.... players on his team will be thinking WTF YOU DICKHEAD!. The homewworld can be producing +15 credits a second , and other planets producing more, yet when u surrender...those credits go to waste.Once there was a guyh who surendered ..but it was at the slightest moment of trouble. He thought he was being corageous accepting the lost. Wrong..hes a complete prick. 2 Ice planets , 1 desert + 1 full homeworld ....producing economy that was wasted because he surredened..its bullshit , and IC need to look into this big time..Surrendering is the the "gay" option of being a pussy. As if you think that by surrending and taking a loss , that it makes up for letting your team play one man down , and denying your team the FULL +11-15 resources of your Homeworld and other planets.Seriously aslong as a team is man enought to say "gg" and ask can we quit together..so that the game is finished , ill be like yea sure ,we are all fucking bored of this 2 hour game and using nerfed sieges to slowly wittle down planets that we know is wasting our lives.
The notion that AI is necessarily a good thing for a team is arguable. I have seen AI's take over at the start of a game from some wet noodle who opts to bail for whatever reason, and the AI literally just sits there on the same 2 or 3 planets they have, and absolutely does nothing. But I was referring, more to the point of the end of the game, where the outcome is obvious, and at that point the losing team acknowledges the defeat, and rewards the victors with their just due.

It's obnoxious, loudmouth, and insufferably arrogant Cheesedicks who play an otherwise good game, but at the bitter end decide their last act of defiance is to simply quit without surrendering that are the gayest of gay pussy's, and should be shot at first light, drawn and quartered, and then killed. And then killed again. This is when you must fight the retarded AI to the end if you want a victory. I would almost rather play a stubborn diehard that has some brazen idea that he is fighting to the death, than put up with defective and predictable AI's that will suck the life out of you by extending the game even longer.
