Hello everyone!

I just pushed an update to the forums with some heavy performance improvements done to the backend by our database engineer.  A lot of things were changed, so I don't expect this update to be perfect.  Please take a look around, and if you notice any problems or any areas that could use another performance boost, let me know here!

There were also other, minor changes made to the design and back-end structure of the forums.  Most of these are miniscule, so I won't bother to list them, but anything that seems off or wrong is definitely a bug, so be sure to let me know here or via PM!

This forum update is causing bad things.  Threads have no replies but if I reply then all of a sudden there are dozens of replies.  then if I edit my reply I get taken back to the thread with no replies.  ARRRG!

if i reply, it shows up

if i go back to that post later, my reply is missing

if a reply again, both show up

if i go back to that post later, both replies missing

 

 

'view all recent posts' page shows updated dates but not the replies:

 

example - WindowsBlinds Not Skinning Explorer Properly on Startup.  = on the view all recent posts page shows last reply info as of today @ 01:06 with no replies, but the OP posted yesterday @ 19:33:44  - the today at 01:06 would be me but no replies are shown when I go to that page

Serious weirdness...

This will be post 26 but it's still showing 20.

 

There are a few threads with 0 replies. They were posted 4-5 hours ago but are showing a time of a few minutes ago for the last reply - even though there aren't any replies. Huh?

right now, I'm posting under reply #25 (as I see it) and under the OP it shows 20 replies, yet I know it's getting closer to 30

cleared forum cookies

front page now shows me as the last to reply, with a total of 20 replies (which at least matches whats under the original post) but I'm still posting under number 25 which was posted at 20:43:57

we were way off fuzzy - your number '26" was actually #54

Interesting. I've been posting from Stardock, I'm now on WinCustomize. It's still showing 20 replies but the go to last reply worked. It didn't on Stardock.

 

I think it's time I had a lie down... x_x

At the moment I can't see anything. The order of the threads change to show that people have posted, but I can't see anything in any of the new posts in any of the threads.

I had a case where I made a reply and it didn't show up after I hit the post reply button but a minute later it was there.

Ditto....on numerous occasions. And also encountered the disappearing posts earlier.

Same here. Posted on numerous threads but the replies never registers. Any help? Kinda frustrating considering I am still having networking issues and would like to communicate with the other forum members.

Looks like the forum update has been as effective as 1.01 :(. I do wish things were tested properly.

Well, I find this: https://forums.elementalgame.com/354709 quite funny. It says 0 replies altough I know i has a few (mine included) and the only way to see those replies is to post.:moo: No F5, no Ctrl+F5... I'd try other threads but one is more than enough, thanks.:S

Ditto! I've had this happen on numerous ocassions, Sometimes the post never showed up...happened twice today.

Something funny is going on, none of my replies are showing - and I've used three different computers running either IE or FF. Strange.
