The trick is to not take it too serious (unless you're receiving Stardock paychecks ).

I won't say welcome back, or that it's a good thing you decided against leaving though. Not because I don't feel you deserve it, but because I really don't know if it is the best thing for you. You're the one to decide if you want to hang around here or not. If you feel it's getting to you, it probably does just that. But if you can just keep the above advise in mind, we'll all be fine, you, me, the rest of the looney bunch here and my grandfathers old cuckoo clock.

See, sometimes you just gotta sit back and take a grip of yourself (not in 'that' way ) to find where your head's really at.  If you're feeling like crap cos of a couple of rough nights, illness or a minor upset, the best bet is to say and do nothing... usually these things have a way of working themselves out and you can carry on as normal.

On the other hand, if you're feeling like crap because of more serious depression, ansiety issues and/or illness, then that is the time to speak up and reach out for help, professionally and through those who love and care about you.... and I think by now you've come to realise that this community is one of the most supportive on the planet.

As for the gotcha.... well no.  Like I said yesterday, I've been through low periods when I felt like saying goodbye to WC and everyone here, but fortunately I said nothing and came to my senses before burning my bridges. 

There was even a time when somebody on the forums said something that I didn't like, and I'll tell ya, I was fuming and was going to cancel my membership over this 'atrocious' comment. Just as well I waited a couple of days because what was said wasn't said at all... well not in the way I perceived it at the time.  It wasn't an insult or a criticism at all, but rather that depression was messing with my head and I took it the wrong way.

We all have issues and periods of down, but saying goodbye is never the answer.... saying hello and seeking answers/support is.

There was a time when I thought that I had managed to escape. Yeah, I was in a beautiful garden with fountains, waterfalls and lots of cute and cuddly creatures... then I awoke and realised it was just a pic somebody had posted in the forums.

I had thought about attempting another escape, but concluded the only way to successfully pull that one off is to get half a dozen blokes carry me out in a pine box. So until then, I guess I'm staying put.
