Fighting premades in custom as randomers

Thanks guys! I really enjoyed getting buttraped by a premade team with two random allies. That totally wasn't a waste of 40minutes for me and my allies. For fuck's sake, I know there's no arranged team competition, but that doesn't mean you can gangrape non-premade teams for lols.

If we had a RANDOM TEAMS option for custom games, this wouldn't be an issue.

Random teams option would be nice. Although hopefully this patch makes "Skirmish" a viable alternative. Previously you could wait around forever and not get in a Skirmish game. Custom games were the best option to actually be able to play the game. Whether matchmaking is fixed or not, having a Random and a Blind Random option for custom games would be wonderful.

Beating predmades on the random side is pure awesome though.  You can just tell they were arguing amongst themselves when someone lets slip something to allchat by mistake.

You're right! Players that have friends have no right to play online JUST incase people join that are playing with randomers..

But seriously i play with 3 of my mates online, and tbh we are still getting the hang of it and we win some and lose some.. dont cry cause you got beat and find any possible excuse you can, like the enemy team knew each other..

good luck with that

I normaly just ask if they know each other, some people lie about it just to rape some noobs most people don't tho.

Exactly why I don't play custom unless it is pre-arranged vs pre why waste time play pantheon or skirmish

Pre-mades have a huge advantage, even more so if the players are on Teamspeak/Ventrilo.  That said, there are no other options other than custom games where people can play together.  Unlike SUPCOM, there is no team ladder - custom games are it.  Getting destroyed is not fun, so ask before you start whether it's a premade.  If they lie to you, then they deserve a rage quit somewhere around the 5 minute mark.  The other option is to host your own game.

It's easy to tell though.  When you joined was there a closed slot on the top team that mysteriously opens and is filled later?

Does anyone on the bottom team move up after someone "suddenly" times out?

Are the people on the top talking to each other but not to you?

I dont blame people if they "ragequit" when up against a premade team.      A premade team that has a set premade strategy and build is rather pointless to play against in random.

Unfortunatly there are no team/guild ladders for real competition aka premades  so they have to play in custom.

2 things need to be done imo.

1.)Needs to be clan/team rankings and competition.  This is a competive team based game but its shipped without a reliable way for teams/clans to compete.

2.)There needs to be a waiting area where people can talk amonst only thier team!  This way randoms can make and agree on what strategy and team builds they will use before hand.

GUILD WARS is a competive team based game where each person gets 8 skills.  www.guildwars.com   before hand there are a bunch of people in a waiting area (represented by an avatar) and they make and invite people onto there team and decide which skills they want to use.  Then they enter the arena with thier team against another team.

It's called arranged team.  A staple of Wacraft 3 and done extremely well there.

They just need to implement something like it.  Randoms fight randoms, premades fight premades, and everyone is happy.

there's no advantage to being in a premade team unless you're on voice...in which case it's really GPG's fault for not implementing VOIP into the game. Even then, the advantage is small.

It's just that, in general, people who play with friends are better than those that don't.

HOLD ON WTF IS A PREMADE TEAM

If you look at the top custom players almost all of them are premade teams that beat up random noobs.

Personally I try to be on the side of the game host. That solves the problem 90% of the time.

Small?

Bwahahahahahhahahahaaaa!

You, sir, have zero idea of what you're talking about.

Played a premade last night, had a complete newbie on our side who they seriously raped for cash and got uber equipment. I tried to tell him to stick with us and dont go wandering off on his own but he ignored me and then rage quit after dying 9 times in a row. The new AI took over and did a much better job of it lol. Lost the match comprehensively.

Seriously, premades are fine if they let you know in advance (which these guys didnt, but sort of gave it away, so I went into it eyes open). Not complaining, just relaying an experience.

Apparently you do not play in a pre-made.  Knowing when to shift people to one side to push towers or defend is critical.  Premades trust each other and react far more efficiently and with purpose than randoms.  With randoms, I cannot even be certain they speak english, or even read what is typed on the screen.  When I play with my brother, we can easily draw one demigod in and trap that DG between the two of us for a certain kill.  Not to mention I can call for a snipe when needed and get one.  It is also far easier to coordinate tower upgrades so that you can spring to catas or giants instantly using gold from more than just one person.

"no advantage" - lol

The critical advantages of pre-made teams:

1. They will talk and listen to each other.

2. They will NEVER leave the game (<---Ever!)

The two most important factors in winning.

last night i had an all-random game and one of my enemies was flaming the crap out of me,

absolutely certain my team was pre-made...

but in fact it wasn't, and i told him so but he didnt believe us and just got more pissed calling us liars

I just got lucky with my teammates,

they were very aware of their surroundings

and i could really rely on them,

while the enemy team acted kind of noobish.

this guy gave me lolz, he only wanted to find an excuse for his defeat and made a fool out of himself^^

I can't tell if this is trolling or serious.

yeah undercover premade teams are the worst, at least advertise it in the game name or w/e so you can expect decent competition. I love it when right off the bat they start pumping out coordinated flag locks and 3v1 insta jibs ..

Yesterday, the other team was crying about how they were playing against a premade. It was 2 regs, and me, and I didn't know the other players.

They were whining that we were coordinating snipes over ventrillo. Which they were, I was invited to the vent after the game, but still. They were whining about something that could have been coordinated over team chat with a pug team. I mean, really?

IMO, most premades do advertise it. Just not blatently. Most premade teams make titles containing "No noobs" or "Pro players only".

If you are that fearful of premade games, avoid game names like those.

I do not mind premades, as you go into custom games expecting it.

What I don't appreciate is (example): 2v2, the premade buddies wait for the other team to both hit ready, then quickly change their demigods and hit ready and start the game.

I know that's the advantage of hosting the game, but I still feel it's a kind of trickery exploit, although I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Would help if there was a Random Demigod option. Not a lot, but somewhat.

afaik, isn't there a 5 second count down? If so, just unclick ready, and then wait for them to stop acting like morons, or leave.

As for the main topic, premades certainly have a huge advantage over most random teams, nonetheless, it should be fine if they say that they are a team.

You, good sir, have not met some of my DotA friends  "Zomg, this game is so fucking stupid, none of you are helping!!! *RQ*"

But seriously, they do tend to coordinate better than other teams, and almost never quit out. This can lead to serious side effects for the other team, such as a sharp pain (and later dull ache) in the butt. Dr. Melon prescribes Pantheon.
